Comments Thread For: Ingle Very Pleased With Billy Joe Saunders' Win Over Monroe

Billy Joe Saunders defended his WBO World Middleweight Title against Willie Monroe Jr. on Saturday night and put on a convincing display under new trainer Dominic Ingle. Boxing his way to a decision victory, Saunders looked in control for the fight and was in the best condition of his career so far. His workrate did not drop in the later rounds, which has happened at times in his recent fights.

I did... but it was rather boring... I didn't watch it second by second -- I waited for the commentators to shout when it got heated... it didn't get...

I watched it, and what Ingle says here is **** on.

For sure, Munroe Jr is not the toughest guy at 160, but he's an excellent boxer/mover with great footwork and a long, fast southpaw jab.

GGG overpowered him. BJS beat him clearly at his own game, which is maybe even more impressive.

The improvements in BJS's physique and stamina level are a real tribute to Ingle. I can understand why he's blowing his *****et about them.

It was a boxing match more than a fight, and the two top men at 160 were busy somewhere else that night, so I can understand why fans without a horse in the race found it boring.

              I didn't doe!
