Good. With that kinda of PPV price tag, I'm sure that estimate is very conservative.

I personally don't watch TV and don't have or need one. The only thing I watch live is boxing, and thanks to my reliable streams, I've been streaming boxing for the past 15 years. I watched this fight in HD, without a lag! It was a great event.

    Next up Canelo-GGG!

I figure people stream it because they can't afford to buy all the fights on PPV. I have a stick as well.
That's the boat I'm in. If I was balling, I'd pay for any and every fight, I just don't go it like that so I have to stream a lot of fights.

However, According to you, When you are really interested in watching something you pay full price for it. If you are only interested in watching it a little bit, you illegally stream it.

Does this apply to other sports as well? For example, do the people that illegally stream NFL games do so because they are "not quite interested enough" to pay for direct TV or go to a bar to watch?
Yes, that is correct. Kind of like the commercial for the movie you see on television that looks good but not quite good enough to go out and watch in the theatre, and so you say you'll wait for video/DVD/Bluray/Netflix. Or the fact that the majority of people who watch a TV show still don't care enough to go out and buy the DVD/Bluray (this has been the case since even before streaming became an issue.)

Of course, some people just stream because it's more convenient and cheaper overall, regardless of whether they can afford it or not.

Waiting for it on DVD/Netflix doesn't take money away from the actors. They get a cut of that. So its not exactly the same thing my initial post was about-the revenue that illegal streams take from the fighters themselves.

Streaming isn't more convenient. Streams get shut down you have to find another one, although the facebook live broadcasting doesn't seem to me to be as problematic.

The only benefit to streaming is cost related so I don't think you can just pass it of as a reason or minimize it.

              Gotcha.

A lot of people such as myself stream because we wanna watch the fight but don't feel like it's worth the money it's being asked for it. Promoters and networks only have themselves to blame for so much streaming. They wanna charge $70 for dumb fights nowadays. Yes, I get it, there's inflation as well but some of these fights are not worth $70.

I not only refused to pay for the fight, I also refused to watch it even via stream.

I just could not be bothered with it.

Ok. I respect that and have made the same decision. I almost always base it on whether I want to see the fight or not. The rare occasions I think a PPV is too much and I don't want to pay, I go to a bar to watch.

PPV prices have definitely become ridiculous in the US. I wonder if the increase offsets losses from illegal streaming?

I still think it presents problems for the fighters because it reduces their individual take. This fight its not a big deal (although their cut of an additional $200-300 mil would be huge) a fight like Ward/Kov it is. Kov takes in much less because so few units are sold.

I already told you that PPv is dead and you would be seeing Streams more and more, remember, like 6 months ago?
