I was gonna stream it but decided to go to the theaters at the last minute. It was only $40 and was actually a great experience. Came in right before the PPV broadcast started and it was pretty much empty. Got the best seats. Had my popcorn and drinks ready, they even gave out a collectible May vs McGregor ticket.

Then what did you watch it for? If they don't deserve your money, they don't deserve your time either. right?

Are you really that naïve? The (vast?) majority of people who stream something are those who are interested enough to check it out but don't deem it worthy of paying for.

My response was only directed at E-Thug, not all streamers.

I figure people stream it because they can't afford to buy all the fights on PPV. I have a stick as well.

That is common when it comes to Big PPV's! Both Boxing and the UFC! That will be the LAST Mega PPV for a LONG TIME as far as having that type of Interest from ALL FANS and not just Hardcore's

Finding PPV event for free is so easy now and the quality for them is good now compared to the old 480p quality. For boxing at least that PPV Format is not sustainable with its Popular being a bit down so I think More Network Deals will come for Boxing and a BIG ONE for the UFC Next Year after their Fox Deal is up. UFC might get a NFL or NBA type of TV deal worth BILLIONS with McGregor being the face of their Company!

It's the new era. Nobody gives a fk no more. Streams will overtake TV.

Yea me too. I wish I'd gone to a theater to watch a fight sooner. Loved watching boxing on a giant ass screen. I'm definitely going to watch Canelo vs GGG there too. Sh^t if I was rich I'd rent out a theater & watch f#cking random Bounce fights there it was so good of a way to watch boxing.

And these numbers are no surprise to me & I'd beat there was an comparable number who stole the MayPac fight. I wonder what the conversion rate on illegal steams to legal buys lol?

I still say this fight will have broken the PPV record cuz too many mfers who didn't know sh^t about boxing or MMA were talking about it. Sh^t I've heard about 3 non-boxing or MMA podcasts this morning talking about the fight for an hour already & its not even noon yet on the east coast (I might listen to too many podcasts doe) & its not like they do that ever. And worse case if cats call this fight a "failure" cuz it didn't do 5M+ buys it'll be 2nd all time so I'm sure no one will be crying about the PPV numbers or stolen streams THAT much.

I'm sure in the 10 minutes since your last post you talked to every streamer and verified why they stream.

If you want to see it and can afford it, you get it. If you can't, you don't. Seems very simple. There were other less expensive options as well, bars, movie theaters.
