Agreed, but did you see that gaudy 'belt' the WBC made especially for this fight? Actually, it does go with the circus clown show theme of the main event. LOL!!
Was pretty obvious Floyd intentionally let Mcgregor win rounds 1-3 when he smiled and stuck his tongue out while looking right into the camera between rounds, that and he threw pretty much no punches at all in those rounds.
Definitely carried Mcnugget on purpose instead of starting for real right away.
I saw a clip of a couple guys who sparred with Conor and they said one of his biggest weaknesses is how obvious he makes it when he is drained. Hands on his hips, low hands, open mouth... they nailed it. It was so obvious when he was done and at that point Floyd wasn't remotely scared of him so it was open season.
Saw the same clip. Called it. And Mayweather wasn't going to give him a second of rest.
Where was the patented McGregor power? That left hand couldn't stop a nosebleed. Floyd was just playing the first 3 rounds then slowly but surely turned up the heat. This just proves that UFC fighters just can't take a punch. I just wish the ref would've counted rather than stopped the fight so McGregor would've gotten his ass whooped more.
It was rather embarrassing. Floyd hardly engaged in the opening rounds, and McGregor had absolutely nothing to offer. There's no question that he carried McGregor until the latter was spent after 4 rounds.
I type fast and I have a high IQ. I also comment a lot so formulating thoughts is like second nature to me the way throwing low blows and headbutts is second nature to Andre Ward. When you do something enough, you get good at it.
all this talk about floyd being old and slow was the same talk after the first maidana fight. just like in that fight he said he was going to stand and fight. he did the same thing here. but we all saw what happened after the first maidana fight, he easily just went back to his standard of outboxing everyone.
conor won the first 3 rounds as floyd didnt seem like he was actively trying to win those rounds. but after that it was pretty clear floyd won the rest. conor had success and was landing stuff but none of it had any power on it. i didnt see any of his punches actually move floyd at all (except the borderline low blow), floyd started tagging him with shots that had conor moving backwards which is why the judges and boxing sites scored those rounds for floyd. essentially it breaks down to arm punches by conor that did zero damage vs. floyds power punches that did damage. you can have a personal preference of what you like to see but in terms of scoring floyd should get those rounds.
