Floyd couldn't do **** early because whenever he tried to get in range for his punches, he was already in Mcgregor's range and he had to be very careful. Floyd is not used to fighting guys with longer reaches. It's almost never happened his entire career.

Just like Jon Jones in UFC can dominate Cormier, but have trouble with Gustafsson who isn't necessary as good as Cormier. But styles make fights, and reach is a huge part of controlling range. Mcgregor has long reach, pretty good speed, and good timing and eyes. He is very similar to Floyd in a way, just not as fast as prime Floyd, and without the gas tank or experience. But Floyd did not carry him early. Mcgregor is just far better, offensively (until he gasses), than anyone Floyd had fought really his entire career. Obviously prime Pacquiao was better but Pacquiao is like three weight classes smaller than Mcgregor, and has a short reach.
    Totally disagree.

I noticed Floyd laughing and sticking his tongue out at the camera after round 2 or 3.

Definitely intentionally let Conor win the first 1-3 rounds without punching to make the fight look better.

Floyd looked like crap, I think he would have lost to a lot of fighters tonight from 147 to 160.

Still gotta give Conor respect, he was trying the whole time and landed some good body shots.

"Any time you want him man, he's there. He's DONE."

        I caught that too.

Another clue at him carrying Conor for me was that wink he gave SRL and that other dude.

Conor deserves credit for his boxing IQ but his chin.... it melted like butter. I guess boxers really do hit hard lol who would of thunk it?
Dude, Floyd don't walk into other fighters like that. Floyd basically threw all his boxing skills out the door to slug it out and make it interesting. Any top welters, Floyd would have trained better and fight differently; he would have fought a more technical fight.

At first I was abhorred by Connor's size, looked like a giant and kept Floyd away there for a round.
Even the first few rounds pretty much went for Floyd. He tanked him, then went to the body to break him down for the first 4 rounds. You must've noticed Connor started back pedaling, stopped changing stances and stopped throwing that rear straight and after the 6th stopped throwing everything. Arm punches and ofc his open mouth telegraphed what was happening. Didn't land anything significant but still a great warrior, great show.

You don't stop a fight so quickly in the richest fight in pro combat sport history. McGregor looked so much bigger. He should have gone for the early ko instead of trying to box carefully. Top career to Floyd though, but not TBE. Good thing he didn't fight Thurman or Spence. He would have been whooped.
Floydie definitely not TBE, and definitely not a Marciano record beater. This was just an exhibition fight and nothing more... but that won't stop the vendors from cashing in on 50-0 hats. But then... this is the same nation that ends up with Dump in the WH. LOL!!!

But to be fair, Manny or Cotto wouldn't fight top elites at this stage of their careers either.
