He officially retired and was removed from all rankings twice. Hatton 07 and Berto 15.

Because of what he said post fight.

              Again, never officially retired.

Was he removed from any rankings after De La Hoya? No. I.e, not retired.

              Definitely not retired after Baldomir.

I'm not sure how I can make this any easier for you.

He didn't officially retire after Oscar, although yes he did say he was going to. But again, he didn't.

He did however officially retire after Hatton and was thus stripped of his belts and removed of all rankings.

Common sense tells you the simple fact he still had all his belts and was still in all rankings after the Oscar fight that he wasn't officially retired. He fought 7 months later.

What part of mayweather retired after DLH don't you understand?

Multiple world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr has agreed to come out of retirement to fight British boxer Ricky Hatton.

The 30-year-old Mayweather had ended his boxing career after his split-decision victory over Oscar De La Hoya to win the WBC super-welterweight title in May.

But the prospect of facing Hatton was enough incentive for the flamboyant Mayweather to return to the ring
                    .

Mayweather's adviser Leonard Ellerbe agreed the challenge was too good to turn down.

"We've agreed to the fight. We're excited that Ricky Hatton is stepping up to the plate. It's like this - he asked for it and now he's going to get it," he said.

The 28-year-old Hatton will move up a division from light-welterweight for the fight.

Hatton's trainer Billy Graham said the fight presented an opportunity for Hatton to etch his name in boxing history.

"He set out to become the undisputed champion of the world and that's what he did," he said.

"Now we've got a chance to go against the man who's generally regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. You know it doesn't get any better than that."

The bout promises to be a mouth-watering contest with both boxers undefeated in their professional careers.

Five-weight champion Mayweather is expected to put his WBC welterweight title on the line against Hatton on December 8 in Las Vegas.

I don't give a damn about rankings. So if you're not dropped from rankings that means you never retired?
