I think Conor Mayweather II is more likely. "It's what the fans want" LOL

Him saying the same catch phrases for five years in every interview, and the vibe Tom Loeffler gives off as well, kind of has a corporate feel to it now. And with Abel Sanchez already pimping a rematch or trilogy with Canelo, when in reality they should be looking to destroy and KO Canelo, and going from talking about legacy in the past to only talking about money now, I don't trust him either.

I mean, GGG supposedly took it easy on Brook to lure Canelo, so how can we trust he won't take it easy on Canelo to lure Canelo a second time? When does it end? I don't trust anyone in boxing anymore, which is probably what a lot of fans started to feel and why they stopped watching. They really need to fix the trust issue or boxing will continue to lose fans, whether it's on ESPN or not.
I agree with this. It's hard to trust that a lot of high profile aren't fixed in some way (not to mention the blatant buying off of judges) . I'm less enthusiastic about the GGG-Canelo fight for this very reason, that GGG will not try to destroy Canelo. If GGG could take Lemieux's power, he'll have no trouble taking Canelo's power and doing just enough to make it look like an even competitive fight.

I think at some point in a fighter's career money becomes the most important factor and not pride.

I mean you can literally provide fact after fact, with timelines, quotes, links and video evidence with interviews and these guys will still find a way to refute history. It's insane

Now you're gonna retire again after Connor

Damn boy that's like 5 retirements. How can you dominate the sport for 20 years while retiring 5 times? There's like a 5 year gap all in all

Mayweather started fighting in 1996. Was crying at the press conference and semi retired in 2006, retired twice in 2007. Once after the DLH fight and again after the Hatton fight.

Stayed retired for 21 months. Retired again in 2015 for 2 years. That's a total of 45 months retired which is almost 4 years. He started fighting October 1996. Do the match.. That's NOT 20 years of dominating the sport. Keep up
so why was he still ranked and never lost a title and fought so often if he was retired?

What this means if I come back it has to be against someone I can beat cause at 40 or 41 next year I will lose to both of these guys even with my steroids

Retired for almost 2 years then proceeded to fight once a year until reaching 2013-2015.

The man retired from boxing for almost 4 years between 2007-2017

                  What are you talking about?

Multiple world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr has agreed to come out of retirement to fight British boxer Ricky Hatton.

The 30-year-old Mayweather had ended his boxing career after his split-decision victory over Oscar De La Hoya to win the WBC super-welterweight title in May.

But the prospect of facing Hatton was enough incentive for the flamboyant Mayweather to return to the ring.

Mayweather's adviser Leonard Ellerbe agreed the challenge was too good to turn down.

"We've agreed to the fight. We're excited that Ricky Hatton is stepping up to the plate. It's like this - he asked for it and now he's going to get it," he said.

The 28-year-old Hatton will move up a division from light-welterweight for the fight.

Hatton's trainer Billy Graham said the fight presented an opportunity for Hatton to etch his name in boxing history.

"He set out to become the undisputed champion of the world and that's what he did," he said.

"Now we've got a chance to go against the man who's generally regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. You know it doesn't get any better than that."

The bout promises to be a mouth-watering contest with both boxers undefeated in their professional careers.

Five-weight champion Mayweather is expected to put his WBC welterweight title on the line against Hatton on December 8 in Las Vegas.
                    He never officially retired.

He officially retired after the Hatton fight.
