    that was rubbish

Sugar should have known better than to comment on a fighter who's career is still unfolding

Bert Sugar lost a little credibility before he died, unfortunately

what has been proven since Sugar died is.....

    * Pacquiao is NOT better than Mayweather
    * Pacquiao could never distance himself from Marquez
    * Pacquiao is better than Tim Bradley, but not by much

    I have Pacquiao in/around Hoya

he beat a bunch of names (not as many as Hoya)..... there are question-marks over some of his wins/opponents (more than Hoya)..... the main difference is, Oscar fought EVERYONE, until he retired

Sugar did not see Pacquiao clearly outboxed by Marquez in the 3rd fight, and KTFO by him in the 4th..... he did not see Pacquiao undressed by Mayweather..... and he did not see Bradley run him real close.....

..... also, those factors..... will put Pacquiao's loss to a faded Morales in better perspective

but yea I do agree with you, Pac and Marquez are both great

when I state the following fact.....

FACT: Pacquiao could never distance himself from Marquez

some people see that as a negative, and some see it as a positive

but, it is neither of those things

      it is, what it is

LOL, Bert Sugar lost nothing before he died. Let the forum and other boxing fans judge for themselves who has more credibility, aboutfkntime or Bert Sugar. The only thing you said that I agree with Is De La Hoya fought everyone.

Both Pacquiao and De La Hoya have better resumes than Floyd, especially De La Hoya. Floyd barely got the win over an old Oscar with many feeling Oscar deserved the win. Manny beating Morales, Barrera and a 2009 Cotto *****s all over anything Floyd has ever done. We can argue back and forth for an eternity, but It Is what It Is.

you simply cannot argue with those facts

          Sugar also said this.....

"Remember, Marquez fought Pacquiao twice. Once a draw despite being knocked down - I thought he won that fight - the second time he lost a split decision by one point."

LOL, what does Pacquiao not being able to white-wash Marquez or distance himself have to do with Pacquiao being an ATG? Sugar was Impressed enough with Pacquiao after beating Margarito In 2010 to name him as a top 20 fighter of all time and as I said he has a little more credibility than you do. That Is a fact.

You clearly based Pacquiao's ATG status on the fact that he couldn't distance himself from Marquez, yet you called Marquez a great fighter In a previous thread and made the following statement

"he(meaning Floyd) also white-washed Marquez, which Pac could not do"

Since your criteria In judging ATG status Is based on which fighter beat the other In more spectacular fashion and distancing ones self, how about the following,

Pacquiao vs Cotto or Mayweather vs Cotto

Pacquiao won by TKO rd 12 Mayweather won a UD

Pacquiao vs Hatton or Mayweather vs Hatton

Pacquiao won by KO rd 2 Mayweather won by TKO rd 10

Pacquiao vs De La Hoya or Mayweather vs De La Hoya

Pacquiao won by TKO rd 8 Mayweather won by SPLIT DECISION

Pacquiao vs Mosley or Mayweather vs Mosley

Both won by UD with Floyd being rocked In the second round and Pacquiao dropping Mosley In the 3rd round.

Remember, this was your criteria, Floyd was able to distance himself from Marquez and Pacquiao wasn't, but when you look at their other common opponents, who was able to distance themselves?

I noticed you had nothing to say when I mentioned De La Hoya's resume being better than Floyd's, I truly do not think you are dumb enough to go there and rightfully so.

As far as Corrales and Canelo being on the same level as Morales and Barrera, that Is laughable. Pacquiao also bury's Floyd when It comes to resumes.

                  nothing !

but, you said that he is better than Mayweather

                  which is..... silly

                  because.....

..... not only are Pacquiao, Marquez, Canelo, Corrales, much better than any 4 wins on Manny's resume.....

..... Mayweather does not have SEVEN losses

and Marquez won the 3rd fight, so that makes 8 losses

Canelo will likely be better than BOTH

just beating Pacquiao is better than either of those wins

same with the way he shut-out Marquez

and Corrales was a killer when Mayweather fought him

Barrera was old when Pac fought him

and the less-faded version of Morales actually beat Pacquiao

Barrera was old when Pacquiao beat him? Yet Pacquiao Is Floyds best win according to what you said above. Do you think about the things you are going to say before you speak?

Pacquiao beat a 29 year old Barrera

Floyd beat a 36 year old Pacquiao

So, you look pretty ****** right now.

You are also taking wins Manny was credited with and turning them Into losses. Your example was Pacquiao vs Marquez 3.

So, once again, playing by your rules, Floyd actually has 3 losses.

                    Castillo
                    De La Hoya
                    Maidana

As far as Canelo goes, likely means nothing.

he did not lose to Hoya, or to Maidana

                      stop grasping at straws

                      stoppit

or I will dig up some old vids of Pac getting KTFO by scrubs

Barrera was 33 in their last fight, and he was on the slide

also..... if Canelo beats Golovkin, and then goes on to become a legend..... that will reflect very well on Mayweather with the benefit of hindsight, considering the fact that he nearly white-washed him
