With comments like this it's no surprise nobody ever takes you serious on this site.

168 is a thin division, but you've got at least four of the relevant players competing and the winner of this will have a more significant wins than the current no.1 guy by the time it's all done. DeGale holds a win over Dirrell and the number one ranked guy in the tournament Groves already has a win over DeGale, if he adds wins over Smith and Eubanks he'll be easily the number one guy in the division, that recognition will be bestowed upon him.

The only people who don't watch these are not genuine boxing fans. No surprise what category you fall into.

168 is decent but when you compare it to 200, it looks weak.

Yıldırım is going to get smashed...

This sucks for Beibut Shumenov. This would've been his break!

            The finals are in May.

And if cats get injured they get injured & a sub gets put in. Nothing you can do about that.

Since when is beating Smith any good? whats he done? you talk about 'Chunky's' record like he hasnt been the only Brit doing what these bums are just starting to do - traveling the world capturing titles years ahead of these losers on foreign soil : wins over Dirrel in his backyard! defending against Porky Medina in America, defending against Bute in Canada! come on man! these guys are not on Chunkys level!

Would be interesting to see what Showtime does though; could easily see Showtime commiting 1-2 Showtime International broadcasts to the tournament (with highlights of the bout results if the fights floor with their boxing schedule) and committing to airing the cruiserweight final (the commitment to 168lbs likely is contingent on the matchup; if George Groves, Chris Eubank Jr and/or Callum Smith end up in the finals, setting up a big Showtime International broadcast with James Degale, Showtime will have interest).

Otherwise, you're probably left with hoping that beIN Sport would need the content to fill in time.

According to Richard Schaefer, who alongside Kalle Sauerland is staging these events - "We are in the process of working that out and there will be an announcement shortly but obviously it's going to be televised in the U.S. but I'm not at liberty to disclose who it will be with.

LOL yea I don't agree with that, but I suppose I can see the argument for it since Callum has beaten a couple higher level guys like Eubank has as well & is still undefeated unlike Eubank + Abraham is older, even if I'd ultimately disagree with that argument.

Groves has likely got the easiest road to the finals with Braehmer as the 4 seed & himself having the pick of the also rans. The only thing Groves might have to worry about is if Avni Yildirim doesn't get picked by the top 3 & he ends up beating Braehmer & then Groves gets matched up with Avni. I don't hate Avni's chances to beat Groves although Avni is still unproven on that level, but I think he's a skilled guy who is capable of beating elite level guys.

I'd have thought you'd be a Avni fanboy.

I still think he's a sleeper in this. I suspect he gets sidestepped by the top 3 & ends up vs Braehmer. And I favor him in that fight to fight Groves next most likely & I don't hate his chances vs Groves either.
