It's like flopping in basketball or in soccer. That punch didn't look like it would hurt anyways. If it doesn't hurt, don't try to take the easy way out looking for a point deduction.

Myself too, the first fight I didn't think their was anything in it after the rematch Ward has clearly learnt and progressed, I wouldn't say Kovalev has regressed I just don't think he has progressed. Mentally Ward will always have an edge over him.

Said it before and I'll say it now I think Hunter is the difference.

I told everyone that Ward was underdone heading into the first fight, and that he would be much better with those 12 HARD rounds under his belt

no way did Barrera/Brand prepare Ward for 175 and for Kovalev

I also told everyone that Ward would make the better adjustments

and I agree with your point about Hunter

I wasn't too sure about him as a trainer..... but he is a great mentor for Ward, like D'Amato was for Tyson..... and Ward fights every opponent differently, he is always well-prepared and he always has a great gameplan

You hear "don't leave it in the judges hands" all the time. I'm my opinion you can apply that same logic to the ref.
I do agree the last punch was south of the belt line, however, not protecting yourself while hunched over, after clearly being hurt is not a good look. Add no standing 8 to all the other elements leaves nothing but taking a knee. That's if you want to continue.

It's crazy how the Ward fans process stuff. Ward landed his best right hand, and Kovalev's legs wobbled for a second, he didn't even lose his knees, and they all act like there was KO potential. Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't, but after the flurry of NUTshots, which they call masterful body work, Kovalev was to have a 5 minute break to regain himself, and it would have been a totally different fight. After that if a knockout came, so be it. But the same goes for Kovalev. There was potential that he gets Ward with his right hand in rounds 9 through 12. Or maybe it would have been another close decision. But as it was, NUTshots were counted as a TKO and that is a stain on Kovalev's record, and a fake bonus for Ward's.

Lets see fake ass ward take his low blows refs and judges to russia or anywhere else for that matter and see how he gets on!!!!!

The wrong that is the first fights result would be righted and a L on hero wards record first off, then ward would be warned and maybe point taken from his second fight and see how that goes!! ****ing boxing is corrupt no doubt

In a nutshell, truer words couldn't have been spoken better. Andre's relentless body assault broke Kovalev's will by forcing him into subsequently checking out mentally from the fight.

What are you taking about? Ward targeted kovalevs beltline early. What kov should have done is hit him back there hard. There were several low blows, yes more than two that i saw with the last one being a testicle shot, that blow would put anyone down. After the other low blows there should have been a point off and 5 mins recovery. Ward would 'probably' have gone on to win the fight so in most sane peoples eyes the rivalry is one all and there should be a decider. Thats all.

But no, we have hero ward who now wants to fight heavyweight, we have his delusional fans going mad, all because of wards hometown advantages in both fights, judges, refs and now officals who refuse to acknowledge there were ANY fouls in that fight LOL, you cant make it up

Wards a dirty cheating fighter, always has been, win at any cost, he can also get away with ANYTHING at home, he knows this too
