Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: It is Plain To See I Broke Kovalev Mentally, Physically!

They could fight 100 times and Ward would win 100 out of 100. Kovalev is the naturally larger man, has a longer reach, is a bigger puncher, and is more active, but none of that matters. Ward is simply mentally stronger than Kovalev. SOG had him figured out after the 2nd round of the first fight. He was able to adjust and not get discouraged even after he was hurt and Kovalev wasn't.
After Kovalev "won" and "got robbed" the first time he was making all kinds of excuses and bringing in new coaches. That showed you he wasn't confident enough and had already mentally conceded to Ward and was never going to win a rematch.

I thought it was actual genuine boxing fans behind Ward who appreciated his actual boxing talent and just casual fan boys in love with a puncher in Kovalev. Typically I hold one fan base on higher regard than the other and it ain't difficult to work out which I hold highest and which one I hold exceptionally low, that said I've got a lot of guys I respect who shout for Kovalev too just generally on this site he has a peculiar following.

Kovalev's supporter's are simply copping out. SOG is no Andrew Golota. Most of those disputed punches landed were borderline and on the belt line at best.
The fact is Sergey checked himself out mentally from the fight and was looking to the referee for a way out. He simply quit because he was both tired and hurt from that vicious body assault by Andre Ward.
Therefore, in the end morality wins!

Ward just reinforced the fact that fans see what they want to see
casual-fans see what they want to see in HD, technicolor, with explosions, and pretty rainbows

" had "..... as-in..... past-tense
Kovalev is dreaming if he thinks those guys will stick around
now their hopes and dreams lie solely with Golovkin
I am still a Kovalev fan
