Back on topic, Gervonta will not be long for 130 if he is already struggling to make weight in that division. Meanwhile he is allowing Floyd to navigate his career and his own promoter doesn't even know who he fought and can't guarantee his fighter will make weight. Off to a great start.

Man
You'd think he slapped their dirty horse-faced queen.
He gets 2 tries. He failed after 2 tries. You get stripped. How the **** are you defending him? Then you have the gaul to call out anybody by accusing them of being racists and crybabies? ****ing baboon of a poster.
Why am I not surprised the usual people are in here defending this debacle....

I am imagining Davis would have had one day that was a bit of write off even the second day he probably wasn't feeling himself. Surprising from Floyd who is the consummate pro - bit amateurish really.
Still it adds a little bit of narrative to the fight.
Mike McCallum said he felt like he was fighting underwater when he fought in Italy.

He complied with IBF rules.
This just makes the fight more interesting. Adds a little late buzz

Great points

That's fine, he just shouldn't have a belt hostage then. He should fight other prospects and veterans and regional level guys like Walsh until he's gotten that experience he needs to actually fight for the CHAMPIONSHIP, and fight the other champions.
So this could actually be a blessing in disguise for the division. I think it also shows that Davis may not be as good as people thought against Pedraza, or as powerful, but rather a weight bully who fought a smaller guy who was too dumb to realize he was the smaller guy and fought a dumb fight. We'll see if his power carries when he fights guys his size at 135. He may even be as big as the 140 guys, but we don't know that yet.
Ironic how Floyd got special treatment when he weighed in 2lbs over his contracted weight vs Marquez and still allowed to fight....Floyd is still a disgrace.
