He's with Floyd and Al Haymon, so the boxingscene writers have to hedge a little that they'll be allowed to break the rules without punishment like always. This is such a time honored rule however that it will really, really expose the sanctioning body, and ruin their credibility for decades, if they let a fighter keep their belt without making weight. I expect this to be an open and shut case of him getting his belt stripped, but with these characters involved, and the corruption in boxing surrounding these characters, you can never be 100% sure until it happens.

But, I think this is a pretty safe one to assume. I mean, it's the rule.

Anyway, in all seriousness, i think it was a bit ****** arriving about 6 days before the fight. Those long flights and time difference can mess you up for a few days which isn't ideal when you're trying to make an exact weight hence why Errol Spence arrived at least two weeks before his fight.
