I agree it's a small amount but you either make weight or you don't.

Davis has made it now anyway. So fair play to him. A bit of adversity for him in addition to the fight itself.

I think Davis and his team including Floyd have shown inexperience coming over so late. Needed to give themselves a few weeks at least.

They clearly think Walsh is crap and that time difference doesn't mean a thing or have any impact on the body.

Davis has apparently never been outside of America prior to all the promos etc. It is a road that is still less travelled for Americans.

It does look like the young man has had to deal with a few bumps in the road here. Makes the fight more interesting for the neutral I guess.
I agree they should've come sooner. It's interesting that Floyd just experienced some adversity with Davis that he never saw in his career. Even an old dog can learn new things.

I expect this to be an open and shut case of him getting his belt stripped, but with these characters involved, and the corruption in boxing surrounding these characters, you can never be 100% sure until it happens.

But, I think this is a pretty safe one to assume. I mean, it's the rule.
2 ounces....LOL...You sound like a little toddler saying but he got 1 more m&m in the bag then I did....LOL

The thread title says fails to make weight twice, but when I click through to the article it says the title is that he makes weight on third try.

Good to hear he ended up making weight, but I think this is foreshadowing that he will be at 135 in the near future. I was surprised he made 130 for Pedraza honestly. He's a big kid and still young, so he's gonna grow out of this weight quickly I think

                That's for sure.

                He's still a growing lad.

Well, if you don't make weight then the title has to be striped. I think this kid needs to move up in wgt. Back in the days you had to weigh in on the day of the fight. So naturally you will be much weaker, but hey that's the way the game was. Sounds strange , couldn't make wgt in 4 tries. With Mayweather as his promoter you would think that they be making weight. Ohhh boy the kid might be a little weak, unless Floyd surplies him with his IV techniques...just kidding LOL!

That's fine, he just shouldn't have a belt hostage then. He should fight other prospects and veterans and regional level guys like Walsh until he's gotten that experience he needs to actually fight for the CHAMPIONSHIP, and fight the other champions.

So this could actually be a blessing in disguise for the division. I think it also shows that Davis may not be as good as people thought against Pedraza, or as powerful, but rather a weight bully who fought a smaller guy who was too dumb to realize he was the smaller guy and fought a dumb fight. We'll see if his power carries when he fights guys his size at 135. He may even be as big as the 140 guys, but we don't know that yet.
                    You sound like a hater.....

                      He made the weight.

2 oz is nothing..especially for a young fighter.
