You likely use 'excuse' to refer to any observation or choice you don't agree with. IE if a woman says she doesn't want to date you because she's not attracted to you, you announce with a toothless mouth and crossed eyes that you're "sick and tired of all these fancy excuses".

No, a clearly stated opinion about the outcome of an event prior to that event taking place based on clearly stated observations is not an "excuse".

People admitting they've lowered their confidence levels in a boxer based on his recent performances is not an "excuses". Nobody can have a serious boxing conversation or analyze where a fighter is in their career on here because the helmet-clad "excuses" guy arrives within minutes and stinks the place up.
    Here i'll help you out.

    excuse
    verb
    ɪkˈskjuːz,ɛkˈskjuːz/
    1.
seek to lessen the blame attaching to (a fault or offence); try to justify.
"he did nothing to hide or excuse Jacob's cruelty"
synonyms: justify, defend, make excuses for, make a case for, explain (away), rationalize, condone, vindicate, warrant; More

Saying Canelo might win because Golovkin has gotten old/past prime is an excuse.

    Thanks for playing.

Most fighters don't look as good when facing the best opponents of their career.

So now teddy Atlas is impartial? That's not what Golovkin nuthuggers were saying a few weeks ago when the ESPN P4P list came out. You tards really need to stop flip-flopping.

They cannot rationalize away an opinion they do not hold. There is nothing to defend.

They believe Golovkin would have won two years ago but will lose in 2017. Changing your mind based on new information does not fit that definition of an excuse.

You have difficulty where you shouldn't. Kind of gives me a power trip knowing people with swiss cheese brains are out there in society and I could do anything I want to them.

They're try to justify a future loss by blaming him being past prime. That is making an excuse. It's quite simple.

FFS i even posted the definition for you and you still don't understand.

Who's making excuses? List at least 5 people.

Have you been reading the Canelo-Golovkin threads? Every other post is "Golovkin is past prime".

There's more than 5 in this thread alone.

Since he's invented a new nonexistence definition for 'excuse' (and ignored the one he copy/pasted), that should be a long list.

I'd love to see him in a career as an oddsmaker. Who ya got in the big fight?

"Well I'm not gonna factor in recent performances, age, past injuries, stated strategy, whether he's stayed in shape, etc. Those are excuses. Lets go with alphabetical order."

He schooled Jacobs through the majority of 12 rounds with better jab and power punches, why would he struggle against Canelo who won't use any ring movement to the extent of Jacobs?
Canelo is there to be hit all night long, stick to my guns and I also say a lot of idiots who are saying GGG is past it are blind.
