Theres a reason oddsmakers had GGG a 4:1 favorite 2 years ago and now its much closer, like a 3:2 in favor of GGG.

I am 100% convinced GGG wins this, the only chance I see for Canelo is winning by robbery on the cards or some terrible cut/dq/injury. I am willing to bet all my points and then some.
    Ok then all your points.

Golovkin eat punches and can't defend an uppercut, if he doesn't get Canelo out of there early he's in for a world of trouble.
im 100 percent confident isaac. canelos so called improvement has correlated with him fighting garbage oppositon- shot cotto, a chinny welterweight, a bum in beefy smith and a walking corpse. chavez could have been in the michael jackson thriller video. jacobs was twice the size of ggg, had a nightmare style, and ggg still beat him. canelos smaller, carries no power, isnt elusive. ggg is going to tear through him. you cant win a dogfight against golovkin, trust me.

Ha ha I can't wait for you to expose your lack of boxing knowledge for the umpteenth time. Glutton for punishment you are. If Canelo takes the power well enough, which I am pretty sure he will, GGG is going to get completely lit up. Sure his jab will work for him in parts, but Canelo will also counter it and time him.

The difference in speed will be much more dramatic then most people imagine, and the thing with Canelo's speed is that he also has great timing, and power to go with it. If you think Canelo can't hurt GGG, you are thoroughly mistaken. GGG does not have a chin like Chavez, he can't soak up punishment like that, he will have to be more careful in his approach and jab on the way in.

This is a competitive fight, especially early. The longer it goes the harder its going to get for GGG, and because he is an on top fighter, I think when the fight starts going against him, I don't think he's actually going to be able to protect himself from the attacks, his defence is his attack and having control over his opponent. GGG can only fight with forward momentum, if he gets stopped in his tracks he becomes a sitting duck and his defences become scattered.

I got Canelo by late stoppage or wide decision.

Never seen Golovkin in any danger of being stopped in any fight. Didn't see Canelo look like stopping Chavez at any point. I think Golovkin has abit better defence than he gets credit for. Otherwise surely a Jacobs would've busted him up. Anyway, I think Golovkin well beats Canelo, at any age. No excuses, quote me when the time comes.

If by fans, you mean the contingent of OCD posters on here who get their life's worth from Green & Red K, then yes.
But if you speak to a rational, informed human (again, one without a mental illness), then a case can be made for either side.
This is corporate-controlled, sports entertainment--not a real fight. It has all of the makings of an entertaining sporting event.
              Looking forward to it.

Lol, so GGG's days of looking like a beast doesn't correlate with him fighting bums and welterweights?

I think for the first time GGG will be hit with shots that he doesn't see coming. I think thats why I maybe see him getting stopped. Golovkin was shook up by a non-puncher early in his career, but so was Canelo. But I think Golovkin will get hit with punches he doesn't see, and that will make a big difference.

His defence is underrated, when you consider that he is an attacking, seek and destroy fighter. On that front I agree with you that people make too much of his defensive lapses because all fighters of that type will get wet.

But make no mistake, he is there to be hit, and for someone like Canelo, that is a big hindrance. If GGG does fight more carefully and defensive minded, he limits his own offensive game, and makes it into more of a chess match, but that also gives Canelo more breathing space and time to get his combinations off and utilise his hand speed, if GGG goes all out attack, he gives one of the best counter punches in the game openings.

So it will be interesting what approach he takes in general, although I'm sure in different phases he will do both. I just see Canelo busting him up, no matter what he does, I think GGG will accumulate more damage as the fight goes on then Canelo will, who is much more difficult to hit clean. GGG will need to land a big shot that hurts Canelo to turn the fight in his direction, and he might need to do that more than once. The biggest problem with hitting Canelo is when he is in a defensive posture he is actually really difficult to hit clean, especially to the body, he is a really small target, especially for these taller fighters.

ggg doesnt have a chin like chavez? hes never been dropped in almost 400 amateur and pro fights, wtf are you on about. youre completely deluded if you think canelo can take golovkins power but golovkin cant take canelos.

Are you a mind reader? How do you know what GGG fans are thinking? GGG has lots of fans and they don't all think alike. Some GGG fans may have said Canelo won't fight him but far more posters on here said it was GGG who was ducking Canelo. I am a huge fan of both Canelo and GGG. I think the are both fearless warriors. If they were boxers who ducked good fighters their own weight then they wouldn't be fighting each other. They are the two best and most dangerous middleweights in the world in my opinion. Canelo does have one advantage. He is 26 and GGG is close to 35. That's not an excuse. That's a fact. A boxer or any other athlete is strongest at or near 26. A boxer is past his prime at 34 years old even though he may still be damn good. I doubt many GGG fans are thinking up excuses for him losing to Canelo, The fight is 4 months off and GGG will probably be favored to win at the betting establishments. GGG doesn't eat punches. He has one of the best hit and not get hit ratios in boxing according to computer box stats. You sound like a GGG hater.
