Lomachenko is an extraordinary talent. What he has done in a short time is amazing. But I will hold off on this honor until he does more.

Ward has an entire body of work with no losses. A lot of high quality opponents and a P4P top 5 opponent in his last fight (soon to be last 2 fights). I applaud Loma for looking for good fights but to say anyone he's faced is prime Carl Froch caliber is laughable. In fact, Ward has beaten several guys better than the guy Loma lost to.

People, it's perfectly reasonable to say you like Loma better. But, don't make fools of yourselves by indulging in lies and expect people to take you seriously. I think Loma will get there. I really do.

People want him to keep Jumping in weight classes to see him lose. He already outclassed Gary Russell, Walters , Jason Sosa, and Destroyed Rocky Martinez. If Leo Santa Cruz, Calr Frampton, Davis Grovonta, and J. Corrales would have step up and Loma had beaten them he would be consider a GOD. But Champion keep ducking him. Boxer can't have great Resumes if other boxer don't get in the ring with them.

I don't really take p4p lists that seriously but I don't think it's just who you've beaten. Yes Kovalev is a better win than any Lomachenko has. But most of the boxing media thought Kovalev won, and I'm not sure how much it counts for anything in the p4p world as a result. Lomachenko has flat out destroyed and embarrassed as mixture of good and great fighters and looked like he was operating on a different frequency.

Given the level of hate Lomachenko is now receiving on some threads, I think it's very possible he could be the best around.

boxingscene is basically becoming the TMZ of boxing websites. it's sad. the click bait titles, the HBO like **** riding. you guys just can't let people appreciate fighters. loma is a special talent but there's no way he deserves to be pound for pound number 1 yet.

Why do people act as if a fighter beats legit competition 5 years ago and is still great, that what he did 5 years ago isn't relevant? It is crazy to me to say the least.

Some of us are holding out on anointing Lomachenko #1 spot not because of hate but because of respect for the sport. We've seen other Lomachenko type talent come before. Russell Jr, the guy he beat was once thought to be such a talent. Let's not forget the glowing remarks he used to get from the same HBO crew. On the hand, despite what you think, we've seen in the Salido fight that Lomachenko can be beat. Put him in real fight and we'll see if he truly deserves it.
