I agree with you Larry. Floyd got, and still gets, a lot of irrational hate. He's an all time great, and people can't seem to want to accept that. But you know the saying, two wrongs don't make it right. If you're a fan of Floyd, and felt he was unjustly hated on, which is true, that is not a valid reason to hate on GGG, or any other fighter. I don't think one has an argument to hate on a fighter because said fighter's fans hated on Floyd. Just my two cents. I enjoy your input though. War Jacobs!

By not rating Jacobs as an elite MW is not hating on GGG, fans have a habit of pumping up opponents to make wins bigger than what they are, I like Danny but time travel to a hot MW era he could never win a WT.

GGG is an odds on favorite and people want to heap praise for beating a guy the bookies give very little chance of winning.

This isn't going to change anyone's mind.

Jacobs is a legit contender on a streak and this is a solid fight. To not give him credit is to not be objective about it.

What kind of idiotic logic is this? How many of Floyd's fights was he not expected to win? Does being the favorite invalidate a win over quality opponents?

          Try thinking more.

              Floyd's resume is grossly overrated.

Jacobs was the second best MW in the world, but now Golovkin haters label him a glass chinned bum with cancer. He's an easy fight of a sudden.

They're already discrediting if her were to win and Golovkin hasn't even fought him yet.
I was picking up on that as soon as the fight got signed, lol. A few months ago, people were all excited about Jacobs being able to whoop lil g. As soon as the fight was signed, cancer survivor Jacobs was a bum who would be lucky to make it out of the first round.

We are talking about the hype job with a way worse resume... you know him as GGG. Anyone from 154-168 but we need a catchweight for Ward and not the likes of Chavez Jr. Or Froch. The guy that turns down his highest payday because he has a diva team with an unrealistic worth for the 97k ppv "star".

The same logic that thinks beating the big underdog is not that special, special is the one they think cant win but does.
