I was picking up on that as soon as the fight got signed, lol. A few months ago, people were all excited about Jacobs being able to whoop lil g. As soon as the fight was signed, cancer survivor Jacobs was a bum who would be lucky to make it out of the first round.
Very true but that treatment is not exclusive to GGG. These days every popular fighter has their resume and skills overly criticized. It's like the unofficial welcome into boxing stardom......

Pretty harsh standard for fighters who are considered the best in and around their division. Apparently they are incapable of special victories

I think he will get praise, even from a few haters, but for the most part, there will be the same excuses and crickets as always.

When some fighters are going to fight guys they're favored to beat, no matter how highly ranked that opponent is, some fans don't seem to want to give credit to that fighter for winning. But then you can't have it both ways, when you want your fighter to get credit for beating someone they're favored to beat, but you don't practice what you preach. You're gonna have to sit down and let your fighter take the criticism just like you criticize fighters who aren't your favorite when they win. Generally speaking.
