If Hatton had fought his entire career the way he's fought his last 3 fights, then yes he would be overated. Something's changed in his preparation/tactics because the Ricky Hatton we're seeing now is not the Ricky Hatton that built up his huge following. He looks laboured and isn't employing the head, side to side and in and out movement that made him so effective.
I re-watched the fight and it does actually look like the judges got it pretty much right, Hatton clearly lands more shots in more of the rounds. I'll admit that I thought that he'd blown it when watching it live though. Moral victory for Luis but clear victory on the cards for Ricky.
I want to see both of these guys in with other top Welters before I totally dismiss Hatton's chances at the weight because it looks like Collazo could be the real deal, but it did look like the extra weight had a negative impact on Hatton's speed and stamina.
