Most seem to agree that Andre, being more versatile, has more room to adjust. I personally think Kovalev can do a lot too if he opens himself up to it. He reverted to typical habits when Andre didn't go away and it lost him the fight.
The rematch can't come he soon enough.
Gotta say I tend to agree. While I thought Kovalev deserved the nod this time around I think Ward may have the greater potential to adjust. Kovalevs going to have to do something different or Ward can just take the fight by edging rounds while minimising Kovalevs offense. Would expect Kovalev to push harder for the KO of course, but that may just leave him more open to Wards counters, and quite possibly tire him sooner.

Like you say, rematch needs to happen ASAP.

True. I don't know why these guys just can't stay humble and even say to themselves "thank you for the gift".

Yes. It's such an exciting dynamic in that we know Kovalev can get his hands on Andre. We also know that Dre can handle it and not mentally quit like every previous Kovalev opponent.

This next one is on Kovalev IMO, and his choices will dictate the fight. Does he put it all on dropping/finishing Ward? Or does he try to box more and just take the finish if it comes. The first one had the most intriguing build up I've ever seen as far as predictions and analysis go. The rematch might end up being even more so.

Andre is right in the sense that it wasn't a robbery cause the fight was close but I like many others still gave Kovalev the nod. Yes that's the best we've seen of Kov but it's also the best of Dre. He fought no different against Sergey then any of his past opponents.

The only adjustment he'll make in the second fight is more grappling. Sergey proved he's the more skilled and cleaner boxer. The first fight only exposed a lot of Dre's weaknesses.

How does Andre and anyone else on this site no that's the best Kovalev has? If that logic can apply to Ward the same could apply to Kovalev.Love how people just hear a statement and it becomes fact to them

Is Ward trying to change his persona? Why is he coming out with all these brash/arrogant comments all of a sudden. What happened to the humble Andre?

Watched the fight again and looks even worse for kov. Ward clearly won the fight. I gave kov. Only round 2 and 3. Round 6 was close, I could be generous and give kov. Round 6 then he would have 3 rounds in the whole fight. Jim says punches land but they don't and Harold says Ward was always holding when it was kov. Doing the holding the whole night (smart though), just listen to Harold in the beginning of round 4 while kov. Is holding and listen to Jim when they showed a replay in slow motion where he got caught giving credit to kov. For a landed punch which he admits cause it's on slow motion....I think it was after round 9, I don't remember but it was the same the whole night. Kov. Would land one hard shot in a round and all of the sudden he wins the round according to Jim and Harold while Ward is landing jabs left hooks and body punches.

I think the fact a lot of people/press scored it for Kovalev and had him as the winner is irking team Ward. To me at least, that's coming across in a lot of the 'It wasn't my hardest fight', 'His punches aren't that hard', 'We would of beat him up if Kovalev fought a certain way', 'He was at his best, i wasn't', 'Next time i'll beat him worse' talk.

I do agree with him about it being a close fight though.

Geez, will this freaking bum ever shut up? He got his ass kicked and received the gift of the century. The most arrogant POS in the sport by far. Bullschit comments like this are why I can't stand this fraud.
