Generalship is a hazy meaningless concept to justify when your guy does not clearly win

You cant bring Floyd into the conversation and not say part of his mastery in the ring was due to his ring generalship

Ward was hurt by kovalev in the 12th, and the 10th...well that's a clear round for kovalev as you can get bar the 2nd IMO.

Yep, I think people are completely forgetting that Kovalev stunned Ward in the 12th and almost took his head off.

It's impossible to give Ward rounds 10 and 12, IMHO.

Still waiting on somebody justifying Ward getting those two rounds...

yeah kovalev did pretty well cause i'd been told by many he had no chance. is hilarious cause the purist brigade were telling me that i 'dont genuinely believe kovalev can win' and were so arrogant that they dismissed any predictions of kovalev winning on points as 'trolling' well he won pretty ****ing clear on points on my card and quite a few others. funnily enough a lot of them have gone quiet today.

Ward. Clear Kovalev round by any measure.

I love how some of you use compubox when it fits your talking points and bash it when it doesn't. Just watch the rounds, especially the 12th. Ward landed all the clean punches and that double left hook to the body and head sealed the round for him. I had Kov winning the 10th though so no argument there from me

Yeah, I mean, honest to goodness, I think once people rewatch then the general consensus by most fans will be that Kovalev won.

It's going to be really hard to justify Ward winning those two rounds, without bias. And just one of those gives it to Kovalev.

I'm open to everything. If somebody can give a legit, detailed breakdown of Ward winning those two rounds. I'll entertain it and be willing to loosen up my verdict on Kovalev comfortably outboxing Ward for 12 rounds.

Well, there is honestly no way that anybody should have thought Kovalev had no chance. People that thought that do not know boxing at all-but it doesn't change last night's result.. He came up just short by the same margin on all 3 judges cards and they did not have each round scored the same. Let's see wht he can do in a rematch.

I'll have to rewatch the 12th one more time but I thought Kovalev hurt him and lander the harder, (and more) shots.

But if you give Kovalev the 10th, he wins the fight man... and if he won it "clearly," but all 3 judges gave the round to Ward- and that was the deciding round.... don't you think that its more along the lines of "robbery?" Lol

There's no way you can make a case for Ward winning both of those rounds, I'm still waiting.
This argument is fallacious. The judges also had Ward losing the 3rd, a round which he arguably won. If that was changed then he could have lost the 10th or 12th and still won the fight.
