Oh yeah, I know Arum is full of sh it most of the time. But I think right here, he's telling the truth. I believe GGG deserves a %, rather than just a flat rate. I think 30% for GGG is fair. I also think Bob is right about Canelo's lack of mobility and footwork is going to be a problem for him. Canelo can **** but he can't move, and I think that will play into GGGs hands. I see Canelo getting cornered and losing on a trading of punches.

      Yup! Agreed.

Fight me in a year for a flat fee is what's known in business as a '**** Off Rate'. I don't want the job so will quote you unreasonable terms.

That being said, it can be treated like the opening salvo in negotiations and things can move on from there.

I don't care what the percentages are (70/30 65/35 would seem acceptable) and it wouldn't matter if the total for GGG ended up being under $10million. You don't offer a serious opponent a flat fee. This 'fight you in a year' rubbish is only made acceptable by Canelo's injury. I didn't love it from Ward but the fact is he had an excuse of inactivity, a new weight and now the fight is on. Ward has vindicated himself in this instance.

I recognize Canelo has a bigger fan base currently but he's turned a hell of a lot of people off him with his middleweight antics (possibly as advised by GBP). Canelo apologists have to know that history will not be kind about this period of his career.

There needs to be a fair percentage (I've always said somewhere near 70-30), and this fight needs to be made sooner than later. Also, I think Arums assessment of Canelo is spot on. If he were lighter on his feet, I think Canelo would have a much better chance, but Alvares moves in the ring like a 45 year old man with those cement block feet of his.
this is just like floyd offering pacquiao a 40 million flat fee which was baically an offer he knew pacquiao would turn down.

floyd did that to try to protect himself public relations wise so he can duck prime pacquiao.

"see, i low balled him but he didnt accept, he duckin me, not the other way around"

floyd fans fell for it, or they knew it was BS but the used the ploy.

You know it's all bad when you have to agree with the viper because the cobra is even more wrong.

Obvious to anyone with a common sense. Hopefully now that Arum, who obviously knows something about boxing, confirms it, all the trolls will wisen up.

Canelo has a loooong way to go before he's on the star level of a Mayweather or Pacquiao
I'm not sure why people think just because Mayweather is gone and Pacquiao is on his way out Canelo automatically gets elevated to superstar level and everything has to be severely tilted in his favor to get a fight made. I don't care how much either guy makes, I just want the fight to get made in a reasonable amount of time, even though its already gone on too long in my opinion. People who think everybody need to bow down to Canelo are delusional.

Let's add up the rest of their PPV's. And break it up that way???

If you want we can even throw out the high and lows to be fair??? Ohh wait! Then Ggg wouldn't have anymore.

Good thing GGG is only 27 and Canelo is 35!!! ??? Sorry SHT!!! I got them CONFUSED I was looking at who they fought, their boxing resume, and how many PPV's they been in!!!

I thought for SURE there was NO WAY that the younger guy smoked the much more EXPERIENCED and older fighter in almost every category!

if GGG is a nobody and brings nothing to the dance, then why cant Flopnelo keep Golovkins name out of his mouth?

If the guy is truly a nobody, then just stay at 155 and fight Andrade, Charlo x 2, or the FedEx guy. You would think Mr. Big Time A-side "face of boxing" ought to be able to do a million buys fighting Ishe Smith for crying out loud.

So he can't accuse GGG of taking steroids the way Floyd did to Manny to avoid a fight, therefore he came up with the second Floyd's team strategy which was a flat fee. Oscar's "ACE" in delaying the fight is 5 pounds weight difference. really 5 pounds? lol Actually, Canelo looks bigger than GGG to me.
Canelo vs Lemiuex to see how Ginger does against David which in my opinion can be an upset
