Beating one of the top P4P fighters in the world does nothing for him? But beating bums like Wade and WW who hasn't even proven himself at 147 did? How can canelo offer a fight at any weight when GGG, his trainer and more importantly his own promoter did interviews all year saying they refuse to drop a ounce and that they refuse to negoate on weight. GGG drew the line in the sand demanding the fight happen at 160 and it blew up in his face. Now he has to sit and wait and waste more years in his prime until Canelo is ready to move up to 160. Had they said sure we will go down in weight (I mean didn't they say 154 or 168?) could of gotten the fight. Instead tried to use a belt that the Canelo camp never cared about as leverage to get the weight on their terms. GGG used the I am the A side against Ward but karma came and a real A side used it against him. Both instances he refused to negotiate at weights out of 160. So he can waste his career stubbornly fighting at 160.

you are dreaming if you believe that Canelo would have taken the fight at ANY weight. And who cares what PR crap people put out. If you are serious, you send an offer. If they reject it, then you have that ammo where you can say "we offered xxx and they rejected it". Besides, didnt Canelo say IN THE RING after the Khan fight that he would fight GGG at 160? Or do the things Canelo says not matter and it only matters what GGG says?

No one cares about boxing in the US anymore. Why are people even surprised? Also with the streams ratings are only going to get worse. I don't know many people with HBO these days.

Pac is still good for at least 300k PPV buys but Nelson dropped him. Fury and Klitschko doing better numbers shows you the heavyweight division will always draw interest but Nelson didn't make a play for Joshua. Nelson needs to go!

Loeffler said they had a new deal with German tv going into this fight. The last time for the Murray fight they did 2.3 million viewers in Germany and 740k in the UK (on free-tv Ch.5). The Murray fight also did 6.1 million viewers in Mexico.

So about 1.4 million to 1.5 million between the two broadcasts. Pretty good numbers I expect the haters to say you can't put the two numbers together because there's certainly no chance different people watched at 4:30 and 10:30

theres something called legacy? are you content with golovkin facing **** for the rest of his career? are you literally telling me that a win over ward does nothing for him? you see, all of you think that i am a demon but you just misunderstand. this is why me & frog head p*ssys like yourself will NEVER agree with this situation. you just said that A ward win does nothing for him? 1st. legacy, it cements it for golovkin. it would be his highest payed fight to date because people are not as dumb as u think. they like challenges and ward would be a challenge. so the money would be there. also it confirms everything that u guys were saying, golovkin would undoubtedly be great with such a win.

Exactly only way you can go with the theory a Ward win means nothing is if you can point to me the fights GGG has taken instead that have meant more. But when you fought Wade and Brook instead and your resume is a paper thin as GGG and nobody besides hardcore fans care about you it holds no weight. Either GGG's camp miscalculated the leverage of his fanbase (or lack there of) or they were worried that Ward at 168 and Canelo at catchweight beats him. So why not try and milk the few dumb die hard fans GGG already has who are content with this absurd level of opponents he has fought his entire career and will never demand him to step and take risks to make better fights. Either way he will never be a real draw if he keeps fighting opponents like this and the ratings prove it.

also ONEPUNCH.......regarding the canelo offer. Golovkin already said theres No Chance he'd Go To 155, 156, 158 For Canelo. not even 158. it is totally out of the question and 160 or no fight with canelo.

Ggg fought murray overseas HBO aired live at 5:45pm and that drew better ratings. The time is not the problem ggg is just not a big draw. Has hard core fans that troll the Internet but it doesn't translate to casual fans. Look at his ppv for more evidence of this.

Golovkin's last two shows on HBO, Monroe and Wade, did a 1.338M and 1.325M average. You have to go back to the Murray fight (which was also broadcast during the day), to find a time Golovkin went below 1M.

To act as if the time slot had nothing to do with the numbers in the Brook bout is really being ignorant.

That's why you have to combine the replay. A large chunk of his audience, likely that 500K that was missing, didn't get to watch the show during the day.
