Modern surgery can fix problems that would end careers a decade or two ago. Ricky Burns' jaw bone was broken clean through. I saw X rays of that, his lower jaw was literally in 2 separate pieces! It was a worse injury than Ortiz suffered, but Burns wanted to fight on, so he came back from it.
... I was rooting for Burns in that Beltran fight -- Burns acted as a true fighter then!

... After beltran, Burns was beat by Crawford, Zlaticanin and Figueroa Jr...

... Now Hearn managed to give him Broner's belt! But Burns is totally out of top level boxing to date... Don't you agree?

They were saying GGG have not fought anyone, yet world class unbeaten champions with 36 wins can only last 5 rounds with the man...... We all know by the fifth round Brook was DONE, the bombs from GGG started to fly and Brook's corner threw the towel without giving a fans what they want it, which is KO That was coming. Pretty cowardly and safe-way to punk out of the fight by so called british champion

What do Lemieux, Monroe, Murray, Adama, Stevens and Rosado have in common? Right, when they fought Golovkin, they all lasted longer than Kell Brook. Gabe Rosado, moving up from Jr. MW lasted 2 rounds longer than Brook.
Give Brook credit for trying to win rather than just survive but the outcome was never in doubt. Golovkin had 0 respect for Brook's power and fought as if he had a plane to catch.
Before the fight, Golovkin said he'd make it a street fight and give the fans a show. So a street fight it was. Golovkin walked in, looking for a KO from round 1. No D, no jab, no finesse - in other words a street fight.
It was a good stoppage because the fighter's health is always the #1 priority.
My only problem with stopping the fight with Brook standing up is there would be a lot less hype and BS out there if the Kell's beat down had been allowed to continue and the inevitable KO had been allowed to happen.

Burns just won a world title, so he's still a top class boxer. His jaw wasn't a problem in any of those defeats you mentioned, he just fought guys who were better than him on the night.

You're forgetting, this fight was meant to be a slaughter. Brook didn't even visit the canvas. Also he even pushed back GGG back a couple of times. Lets see GGG step up 2 weights and do that..... When will this happen?

Brook was almost KO in the first round when he grabbed GGG to stay on his feet. Brook was an unbeaten chalanger who came into fight weighting more then GGG talking about how he is going KO him. He was fast he had a couple of moments but compu box numbers dont lie neither his trainer when he threw the towell. brook on purpose stop fighting was eating these shots, he wanted the fight to stop thats why he was not even suprised. GGG was seconda from putting him to sleep.

Only ignorance said that Brook didn't have a chance. The first tim I saw Brook he fought Porter and show great counter punching skills. We knew he would do good until GGG got him. It has been this way in boxing history!

It has only been different since chickenweather has come on the scene and swooped up the young fans who know NO better and made boxing wwe .

When the towel was thrown in the ring Brook was on weak legs then he turn and was stumbling. Just a few more shots to this brave mans head or liver would have him on his back counted out and his trainer knows this Brook knows this anyone with a good eye knows this.

I'll give Brook credit but there's no way Fraudverez fights GGG in 2017...

So what did you expect, GGG to stop Brook in the first tenth of the first second of the first round? Or 6 knockdowns before literally decapitating him? Brook came into the fight an undefeated 36-0 champion. Look I'm not defending the selection of Brook from Team Golovkin -- it was just about as bad as Team Canelo picking Khan. I get that. But GGG still ended the fight before the 6th round and people are acting like dude lost.

                      Exactly....

The guy put on muscle was not slow like everyone was predicting but still just crapped his pants and by the 5th round unbeaten champion decided to get the f out of the ring. No one argues Brook had his moments but that is only because GGG alowed him, he is cautios when he needs to be, just like in Lemieux fight. Watch the firth round how GGG start winding up those shots 12 in a row and baby brook already was gassed and had his arms down. As soon as GGG started to get into the grind with his STREET FIGHT, his trainer was like FAK DAT and three the towel.
