LOL at GGG already making excuses for not taking the Canelo fight. Truly pathetic. This guy is never going to step up in competition. Jacobs, Canelo and Lara have all faced bigger challenges in their careers than this laughing stock triple gunt. I'm sure BJS will take on one of those fighters before this fraud grovelkin.

I'm not even a fan of Floyd but he wanted to fight Oscar at catchweights and for more money but Oscar even at the end of his career as a part time fighter who was NO LONGER on anybody's Top 10 P4P lists was the bigger star. And bigger star calls the shots. So Floyd who had a MUCH better resume then GGG, had won titles in MULTIPLE weight classes, beaten multiple bigger names then GGG, who had already SOLD more PPVs then GGG, and was the UNDISPUTED number 1 p4p ranked fighter in the world had to swallow his pride and agree to all Oscar's demands. No catchweight had to leap to Oscars weight class, Oscar took the lion share of the purse, fought on Oscars date, Oscars ring size ect. Floyd could of pulled a GGG and bytched and complained and held out for a year or more for a few more nickles and until Oscar agreed to come down in weight. But that's short money and a Old Oscar could of been clipped off by somebody else in the meantime. Instead Floyd took the fight, got the world wide exposure, got the win and was able to made Star demands himself for the rest of his career making exponentially more money then the nickels he could of held out for.
Don't forget that he had to payout to leave Top Rank on top of that:

                April 25, 2006:

Pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. rejected promoter Bob Arum's $8 million offer to fight welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito, and he instead exercised a provision in his contract to buy Arum out and become a promotional free agent, Arum told ESPN.com on Monday...

Many in the sport believe a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight is the biggest fight on the horizon and the only one capable of generating 1 million-plus buys on pay-per-view.

The reason Mayweather opted for the buyout rather than waiting for the May 6 result was because the contract had a limited window for the buyout, one that expired before the De La Hoya fight. However, Arum said he would have extended the window if Mayweather had asked. What Arum wouldn't do, he said, was raise the guarantees for other fights outlined in the contract.

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

GGG just angling for more money is all......

I see this as GGG angling for more money in the public eye. He's not the A side and he knows this will be his only massive payday for his career unless fighting Degale in UK or Stevenson in Canada. Maybe Kov in Russia. Even then it won't come close to the money Canelo fight will bring him. 60/40 although I see GBP pushing for 70/30. This fight should generate 2 mil PPV in my estimate. It would be an indictment on boxing if it didn't get that many buys.

The problem is GGG and his joke team have turned down other fighters who do this same thing against him angling for more money and labels them duckers when they do so. Then moves on to other lesser fights. Now he is doing the same thing. That's why GGG is getting clowned and is a complete fraud. He thinks he's an A side and tries to make A side demands when his ppv sales scream B side.

Just keep in mind this is ACCORDING TO LOEFFLER "According to Loeffler , the offer was rejected because K2 had already finalized Golovkin's upcoming HBO Pay-Per-View fight with Lemieux - and the winner would become the mandatory challenger to the November 21st showdown between WBC champion Miguel Cotto and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
Loeffler indicates that their strategy, since last year, has been to unify the middleweight division.

However, during that period they did explore potential fights at super middleweight with both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
When it came it Ward, Loeffler and Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez made it very clear that a catch-weight of 164-pounds would be required. They also feel their boxer deserves a bigger portion of the monetary split. Roc Nation's offer was an even 50-50 deal.
Golovkin came under fire for his catch-weight demand. Loeffler explained that Golovkin fighting at the full weight limit of 168 would only be considered if the event was financially worth the risk. They felt a fight with Ward would not have generated the same financial benefits as a fight with Froch or Chavez.
“We’ve always said when we first got to HBO that we wanted to unify the titles. We said we’d move up to 168 for mega events. Fights with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Carl Froch would have been big events and that’s why we were willing to move up and we were willing to go down for a Floyd Mayweather fight before but we always said we wanted unification fights,” Loeffler told krikya360.com"

See those quotes triple cumdumpster? LOEFFLER said that, not Roc Nation.
