obviously 50-50 would never happen, but who in their right mind doesnt start a negotiation at a higher number than they would accept? If you start off with your lowest number, you have nowhere to negotiate.

To me this fight is similar in nature to Oscar-Hopkins. The higher ticket seller (Oscar/Canelo) vs the recognized champion (Hops/GGG) and should probably have a similar purse structure. If I remember correctly DLH-Hops was somewhere around a 65-35 or maybe 70-30 split..........

WHAT AN IDIOT, You probably believe salt water heals severely torn rotator cuffs, lol

GGG is a phuking fraud been saying forever. Now this chump who on a daily basis tells other fighters I'm the A side I offered you a purse you either take it or leave it. And when other fighters say I want more money you walk away from table and say they ducked you. Now he's setting the stage to walk away from the fight even if the weight dispute is settled? Motherphuker you the B side no matter when this fight takes place you already killed the fight once because you refused to drop weight like he said he would and instead demanded that Canelo the CLEAR A side move up in weight for the first time ever. Canelo dropped to a catchweight to fight Floyd and agreed to a 90/10 purse split in favor of Floyd just to make the fight. And Canelo at that time was a bigger draw then GGG is now or has ever been.

No question they're going to stretch this thing out! Even when Canelo move up he is likely going to take 2-3 fights at Middleweight before stepping in with GGG and I think the 2-3 Middleweights will be Lemiuex, Stevens and Tureano Johnson all are will GBP and will be easy to make once Canelo does move up

So yes they will make GGG play the waiting game and I think they will stretch it all the way to September 2018 maybe even May 2019 and that is complete BS

Oscar De La Hoya is one of the biggest FRAUDS in boxing History, he is a phony and master manipulator and he will turn on you at anytime. He ran his mouth after the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight and after Mayweather retired but if anything it hasn't been a full year since Mayweather retire and Canelo is already WORSE than Mayweather and has went FULL DIVA because of the success of the Cotto fight I guess

Like I posted in another thread, if that guy is the future of boxing and with Oscar as his promoter? Then boxing is ***ED! Anybody that signs with GBP is a ***ing idiot, they not trying to make anybody else a Superstar, the focus is full on Canelo and everybody else at best might be pushed as a undercard fighter on Canelo card if they're lucky

GGG mr PPV flop, mr bum crusher with the worst resume of any top fighter today, mr HBO refuses to give him another PPV unless it's against Canelo, has this false sense of entitlement where he thinks he get's to make demands when his "star" power (LMAO) doesn't warrant them. You need Canelo dumba zz not the other way around. And he's 35 year old. Canelo can wait until the fight happens on his terms he's young and has never fought at 160. GGG has horrible promotion and management around him. If he had any sense he would of dropped the weight and taken whatever decent purse he got which would of been a career payday at the end of the day to get the fight NOW. Holding out for every nickle and weight when you have ZERO leverage at the expense of wasting more years and getting the fight closer to 40 is just plain re tarded. If he was with Top Rank, Haymon, Golden Boy or any top promoters he would of been had big fights. He would of had people around him explaining how this works and to sacrifice weight and/or money for the long term gain.

I don't give him a pass on money. Fighters take pay cuts and make weight sacrifices all the time for their moment.

You beat Canelo, then you become the money man.
Exactly. I'm not even a fan of Floyd but he wanted to fight Oscar at catchweights and for more money but Oscar even at the end of his career as a part time fighter who was NO LONGER on anybody's Top 10 P4P lists was the bigger star. And bigger star calls the shots. So Floyd who had a MUCH better resume then GGG, had won titles in MULTIPLE weight classes, beaten multiple bigger names then GGG, who had already SOLD more PPVs then GGG, and was the UNDISPUTED number 1 p4p ranked fighter in the world had to swallow his pride and agree to all Oscar's demands. No catchweight had to leap to Oscars weight class, Oscar took the lion share of the purse, fought on Oscars date, Oscars ring size ect. Floyd could of pulled a GGG and bytched and complained and held out for a year or more for a few more nickles and until Oscar agreed to come down in weight. But that's short money and a Old Oscar could of been clipped off by somebody else in the meantime. Instead Floyd took the fight, got the world wide exposure, got the win and was able to made Star demands himself for the rest of his career making exponentially more money then the nickels he could of held out for.
