Genuinely still think they're trying to make the fight. And by Canelo dropping the belt it gives him more leverage, weight doesn't need to be at 160 anymore and also it shows team GGG that Canelo is more than prepared to walk away if he doesn't get his terms. I think it stinks of arrogance and don't agree with it at all but if that's the case it's a clever move from Canelo camp

This is what I don't get with the level of critism he receives. He was going after Paul Williams (a man that everybody said nobody wanted to fight) until he had his tragic accident. When he pursued Cotto who took a loss to Trout and scuppered the fight. Alvarez did the right thing and fought the man that beat the man that he wanted to get in with. Not many would have done that. Especially not against Trout. Then he goes against his promoters wishes and steps in there with Lara.

The kid is clearly willing to fight. I'm not saying that the way him and his team go about that is beyond reproach because it isn't but at times people act as if he's the worst thing in boxing.

All those fights were 50/50 fights for Canelo, maybe even canelo being the favorite, the GGG fight, canelo is the clear underdog. He ducked GGG man

probably so there is no weight impositions, no MW belt no 160 lbs limits.

Highly unlikely GGG's team will settle for a lower weight just because it's not a title fight. I think they'll stick to there guns regardless.
