Smart of you to abandon the DLH middleweight talk.
When it comes to black fighters Larry is all about the belts and accomplishments forgetting about the opponent but when it come to GGG he complains go figure

Why don't you compare their resumes at similar points in their careers?

Hopkins was 36 when he beat Trinidad.
      Golovkin is 34.

Hopkins beat Trinidad 6 years after he won the IBF.
If Golovkin beats Canelo this year, it'll be 6 years after he won the WBA.

How many reigning world heavyweight champions did Butterbean KO. GGG can't equal Hopkins's accomplishments but what active boxer can equal what Hopkins has done in his miraculous career? Many of GGG's opponents were not bums but top 10 world rated middleweight contenders. Murray for instance is rated in the top 5 in the world at 168. That's hardly a bum.
Im comparing the consensus of stopping a string of nobodys , because the guy was making the point of stopping 15 opponents when the real power in that is if they are real opponents , they wasnt they were all ordinary MWs and dont qualify GGG as an ATG or better than Hopkins , GGG needs to walk the walk that other greats have walked and that means beat great opponents , the best possible fights that he turned down are better than anything on his resume .

        Its all about perspective .

**** Abel Sanchez. Attention Whoring prick. Hopkins arguably beat everybody he's ever fought outside of Kovalev. He unified all the middleweight belts 1 by damn 1. He beat Keith Holmes, William Joppy and Felix Trinidad to prove he was the legit best Middleweight. GGG hasn't done ****.

I'm a big Hopkins fan...but who did he win his belts from? He fought mercado for the vacant ibf belt...if ggg fought mercado he'd get ridiculed. Keith holmes? Comon man...who the **** did he fight other than hopkins, let alone beat? Hopkins also lost to a raw and limited taylor. Hopkins mw resume would be picked apart on here if it was ggg's plain and simple.

GGGs resume is empty of any real class fighters while Hopkins fought everybody , Abel is commenting on Hopkins today when his fighter has done nothing but flog B graders and there is no link between him and Hopkins its straight up disrespect , if Roy Jones was prime today GGG would avoid him .

As a matter of fact at 168 to 175 a 50 yr old Hopkins would probably beat GGG .

Best thing for GGG to do is fight some real fighters and nobody would trash him !

There's the problem...who is real and willing to face him? It always makes it back to andre ward. That seems to be the only fight some people around here would respect him for...but only at the full 168 limit. Anyway, that ship has sailed.

Lara Ward and Brook has said they would like to fight him they are all better than anything on GGG resume , now they saying he can go to 172 for Froch , well go to 172 for Ward Im sure Andre would take it in a heartbeat .

Ward would be the first real elite class fighter to get in with him thats why people want it , I dont think anybody really hates GGG , they hate his resume and how he fighting B graders like Wade , the guys resume is a joke never fought a MW , never been in a 12 rounder , his resume has guys with more loses than wins , its so bad I cant believe it , imagine if he ended up in a coma it would be all over the world that Wade should not be in the ring with GGG , this can end up real bad for boxing .

Well I have to agree with Sanchez here. Hopkins did fight smaller guys and personally, I always thought he was a tad overrated.

This I have a problem with , how can Hopkins be over rated and GGG is not , makes no sense in how you come to that conclusion, Id like to see GGG fight Kov while he is prime let alone at 50 yr old , I shake my head at this stuff .
