Never thought much of Bernard at 160, he was better at 175!
As to GGG and his opponents!
He came into prominence with Sergio as champ, Sergio wanted no part of him.
Then Sergio drops the belt to the "safe" opponent Cotto!
Cotto wqants no part of GGG!
Then little Cotto makes Canelo come to the scales at 155 but weighs in 15 pounds more than Cotto fight time and takes the belt!
NOW Canelo wants NO part of GGG!

GGG doesn't need a "great" win(s) over anyone when EVERY 160 belt holder refuses to fight him!
Those are the facts and other than matching up with mandatory assignments
GGG is fighting the best he can find because the notables are NOT willing to fight him for the 160 belt legitimately!!!

Canelo is the middleweight champion.

Trinidad was a 154-pounder when moved up for the middleweight tournament.

DLH was a 154-pounder when he moved up for the Sturm/Hopkins two-step.

Trinidad had at least established himself as a middleweight champion against Joppy before the Hopkins fight.

DLH never did....he was a middleweight champion in name-only in the Hopkins fight...very few people thought he actually beat Sturm.

But they are counting the REGULAR TITLE DEFENSES..they really watered down this defense thing..Monzon has the real record of 15 because those were lineal defenses
