HAHA Exactly. Starting in 2014 you can find over half a dozen quotes from GGG's team making threats about forcing other fighters to vacate the belt. And at every term they didn't do it because news flash they don't care about the belt. They think it's leverage to get bigger named fighters to fight them on their terms. And it has backfired in their face every time. They do all they can do which is bend over. If they force a vacate it's the worst case scenario because Canelo has tons of options for big money fights and I still believe if he needed to he can drop that 1 pound and win a title at 154 (something his camp has said he can still make if he wanted to) and GGG adds a meaningless belt and continues fighting the Wade cab drivers of the world. He's the phony who said he will go to 154 or 168 for big names and when push came to shove did neither.

Sometimes fans understand that belts are not as important as they used to be:

      December 9, 2015:

The IBF has stripped Tyson Fury of his world heavyweight title on account of his failure to defend the belt against the mandatory challenger, Vyacheslav Glazkov, instead choosing a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko, whom the Briton beat on 28 November.

“It’s true he’s been stripped of his IBF belt,” the IBF’s championships chairman, Lindsey Tucker, told the BBC. “Our challenger was Vyacheslav Glazkov but instead Fury’s gone and signed a rematch clause with Wladimir Klitschko.”

Why??? Because he's fought the best? He fought the #1 best fighter of the last 25 years rated by EXPERTS ESPN.com

Fought another Pound For Pound Top #10 RANKED.

Two other Pound For Pound Top #20 RANKED fighters.

I would be more ashamed of Canelo if he was fighting Dominic Wade. Or if he had GGG shtbag resume. The WORST I've EVER seen a P4P Champion Have. Especially for a 34 year old.

He is feeling the pressure now from them and the boxing media, I think they fight at 157 or 158 this fall.
You are out your mind if you think Canelo loses a single mexican fan if GGG doesn't do what he told the world which is go to 154 for a big fight. Canelo has already fought Mosley, Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, Cotto, ect (he even had a signed contract to fight Paul Williams before he got himself paralyzed) and is ONLY 25 years old. He's already fought more the DOUBLE the world champs that GGG has. He's got HOFers and Top 10 P4P fighters he's faced. He's taken on way more challenges and tough fights and his resume at 25 takes a massive dump on the bums GGG has fought at the age of 34. What Canelo has done has earned himself enough currency with fans nobody is turning on him. Floyd and Manny refused to fight each other for 5 years straight and NEITHER fighter lost their fanbase but you think Canelo not fighting GGG the first 6 months after winning a belt will cause him to lose his fanbase? LMAO

Meanwhile fans are starting to ask what the hell is going on with GGG and why is he still fighting no named bums like Wade (a fighter even GGG admitted he didn't know who the hell he was before they made the fight). When is GGG going to step it up and take on challenges? Why isn't he moving up or down in weight to fight the better fighters like he promised?

Lol, to some it all up excuses are like @$$hole$, we all got 1 but apparently GGG's team all like to show theirs, face down @$$ up. You know, GGG seems like a cool guy, and has a nice style thats been missing from boxing, its to bad his team and fans have put a bad taste in peoples mouth about him. I wish him well for the sport of boxing to thrive but as much as I dont like Canelo, Id prefer for Canelo to win just so I can see a bunch of people walking around with their Jordans in their mouth.

              GGG's promoter

"Canelo and Cotto will fight next year, that fight makes a lot of sense. Then Gennady will get the winner of that fight...You can't force a fight, but if they don't fight then they'll vacate the title."

That was ALMOST 2 years ago saying the winner of the Canelo/Cotto fight will either fight us or vacate. That didn't happen because the GGG camp first allowed Cotto to fight not one but 2 voluntary defenses. Then let Canelo fight a voluntary defense. They talk tough about making fighters get their belt stripped or forcing them to vacate and then flip flop and bend over and agree to allow them to keep the belt and fight someone. They are frauds and don't give a crap about winning another paper vacant belt. They want the big named fight but they foolishly think they are the big name that gets to dictate the terms. Canelo had to agree to Floyd's catchweight and he was a much bigger star then GGG is. Why shouldn't he do the same?
I keep telling y'all these people are hustlers. They're selling snake oil. There's an excuse/reason for every fight getting made or not getting made and they blame it on everybody else. I can't think of any other time in history where a fight not happening because the other guy isn't marketable has been an accepted excuse not to fight a guy. I'm not talking about a true no name who isn't a threat. I'm talking about good fighters who are known by boxing fans. I also find it strange that as the Canelo fight looks like it's not happening all of a sudden we don't hear them talking about Jacobs or DeGale anymore. Ramirez is the leading candidate. These people are hustling boxing fans and people are falling for it.

Those are two totally different situations. Bowe was supposed to fight Lewis. Kathy Duva played the paperwork game to get Fury

I don't even think he cares about the belts that much? I mean he supposedly offered Saunders $4 million + that we now KNOW was a BS LIE!!! If they would of offered him what they SAID they offered they would probably be fighting for another belt.

Instead the CHEAP BASTARDS decided to pay tomato can Wade $100,000K.

GGG team between the Media Ho Sanchez who talks so much sht and never knows when to shut up. And Cheap LYING SCUM Loeffler who makes Bob Arum and Don King look like Saints. Makes GGG Look like a god damn liar.

I actually like GGG and think he's GREAT for the sport but his team makes him look sooo bad!!! He needs to take a page from Floyd and curve all that outside noise.

Or stand up to them like Canelo did to Oscar for the Lara fight. He needs to tell them I don't care how it happens, how much money's we have to pay, just MAKE it happen. No more BS!
