GGG's not in the best situation.

His trainer can't shut up -- Gennady has extreme expectations placed on him because of all the things his trainer says.

Cotto yanked that title from an injured Martinez then sat on it until the Canelo payday. Canelo is sitting on it because he's Golden Boy's closely managed investment. So while these extreme ATG expectations are placed on him, Golovkin can't even get a decent fight in his own division.

All of the 168 talk is a moot point. Not only would he be too small to campaign there (weighing less than Canelo in the ring -- can you imagine Canelo vs Ward?), 168 such a wasteland right now it would be a downgrade from 160 and giving Canelo a free pass.
