Crawford can pack 10K into an Omaha arena. Postol can't do that anywhere in the world. Postol-Matthysse averaged 642K. That's an atrocious rating vs. one of the more popular and exciting fighters in the division. Crawford just averaged 982K vs. a bum. He's entitled to the lion's share.

Yeah I don't know any Job in which the Pay scale goes Backwards but now all of a sudden for Fight Fans are on the Network and Promoter Side in all of this

People cry about UFC Low Balling Fighters but then want Boxing to start Low Balling Fighters

If we want to big fights then these guys have to be paid, not asked to fight for CHEAP

So because I call him out for not taking a fight, it means I don't like him?

lol, I don't suck their d1cks like you do. Hes still among my favorites today, hes just being a typical douche now if hes not happy with the money.

Idk if its fair to suggest this is anybodies fault right now. I mean this is all speculation based on incomplete info & potentially just rumors. Plus we don't even know the offer outside of its more than 1.21M (iirc Lundy was Crawford's best purse). If the offer is 1.3M I'd say Arum is the bigger culprit, if the offer is $2M I'd probably say Crawford is the bigger culprit.

I still say this fight should be doable as a PPV. If they get 150k-200k PPV buys, which I think is a likely outcome range, thats $3.3M-ish to $4.5M-ish for the promoter (assuming a $50 price tag which is probably low these days). Assume another 500k-1M for the gate. Idk what the site fees & int'l rights + etc. would bring in, but thats there too. That seems like it'd get the fighters to 3M+ for purses & the promoter some profit.

True. Anything less that $2mil is a waste of time. He's putting it in Vegas and on PPV. Thats a big time fight. Pay the man big time money.

I'd give Crawford a good chance against Pacquiao.

True. Boxing fans are notoriously bad at the business side of boxing. If you turn down a $100,000 offer for a fight you are a huge pu$$y in some fight fans mind cuz $100,000 is a lot of money for 36 minutes of work or whatever the logic is. Doesn't matter if you made $10M for your last fight.

For the most part I don't think most boxing fans even know what any particular boxer is usually getting paid or how the fighters people, the promoter & the network come up with those figures. Hell as a guy who enjoys discussing & hearing about the business side of boxing I find it hard to fully grasp all the factors in play that decides a fighters going rate to get into the ring.
