Abel Sanchez, outside of Golovkin, saw Murat Gassiev on his way to getting beat, saw Fredrick Lawson get beat, and has no other prospects even on the path under his care.

Eddy was well in his right to be a little ticked off at his work going unnoticed; no different than Roger Mayweather never getting any credit, while Roach was guiding guys to L's yet still picking up the award because Hauser's BWAA loved his the Pacquiao story.

Name 1 big fight that got done, where a fighter was completely unwilling to negotiate with the A-side?

Team Golovkin used the fact that Ward was unwilling to negotiate as justification to avoid that fight, even though they knew he couldn't make 164.

Why do you have a different set of rules for Golovkin ?
Im still confused as to why you, along with many other people on this site insist on there being negotiations in this fight when it comes to weight. Lets look at two lists.

Is canelo a middleweight champion? yes
Is golovkin his mandatory opponent? yes
Is the official weight class for middleweight 160 lbs? yes
Do mandatory opponents have to agree to catchweights in order to fight the champion? No

      alright,lets look at this one.

      Was golovkin a supermiddleweight? no
Was golovkin the mandatory for wards belts? no
Are catchweights used in order to make fights between fighters in two different weight classes? yes,all the time (pacquiao-delahoya,floyd-marquez)

It seems like boxing has hit a verry low point,in which a career middleweight gets **** on for doing everything by the book, while a snot nosed brat wins a title at a catchweight, from a man who won it at a catchweight, and is applauded by fans for trying to use his popularity in order to gain advantages against other fighters.

As for the whole 164 issue,at least golovkins team was willing to meet ward halfway, and try to make the fight, unlike canelo sitting 1lb above jr middlweight and refusing to move. That would have been the same thing as golovkin telling ward "im more popular than you are,so either you fight me at 161,or the fight doesnt happen". Or is it wards fault for not pricing himself out, putting himself at a disadvantage, and going down to fight the more popular fighter?

Nobody is ever going to be El Gran Campeon, but Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is Mexico's biggest star at this point. If Mexico's biggest star puts the WBC's belt in a bucket, what does that say about the WBC?

Weight or no weight, as long as the WBC can say 'Mexico's biggest star is our champion', they're not tripping and frankly, the fans aren't tripping either. What sense would it make for Alvarez to downplay the belt in the press, if the aim was not to disrespect the WBC?

Just like agreeing to take the short-end of the lopsided purse for Mayweather, taking the short-end of the purse for Cotto was another opportunity for Alvarez to launch into stardom; Cotto having the WBC belt didn't matter.

Imagine the Warriors telling the Spurs they have stipulations to play because they are the Champions? Mexicans especially better disown Canelo as a boxer.
I would rather boycott CRAPPY Mandatory fights against guys who have ZERO chance of winning then anything else. I'm not down to see a dead man walking mandatory get his @ss whopped against superior opponents. I've I wanted to see that then I would be ok with pros fighting in the Olympics. Which I'm not.

still makes no sense why is he paying the fees to defend the belt, he should have dropped it as soon as he got it.

I think it's about the $$$$$ as well! You think GGG would fight at 160 with a 80-20 split on Canelo's favor??? I don't think GGG would take that deal at all. The weight is leverage.

I don't know about that??? If he doesn't fight GGG. Getting in that tournament would at least let make him look much better for ducking. Who is GGG gonna fight??? Have you seen the WBC mandatory if Canelo drops/stripped of the belt??? And I'll watch UFC before I watch a shty 160lb tournament.

The MW division I'm sorry but is TERRIBLE!!!! BEYOND TERRIBLE! It's probably the worst division to be in right now. Outside Cruiserweight.

What I would like for GGG to do (doesn't mean he'll do it), is go after BJS, if Canelo can't come to terms. Once he unifies the division he should go up to 168 by 2017 and face either DeGale or Ramirez (If he beats Abraham, which I think he will). If He can't get Canelo he should definitely move up to 168 in early 2017. There are more competitive fights for him at that weight.

Hypocritical comments. They say that they have fought better fighters but won't face this man unless he compromises to 155.

That sounds like a duck to me and it doesn't have any basis. If GGG is his mando he cannot make him go down
