Were you relieved or sad when Mayweather retired?

Hello, friends. Just curious to know whether most of you were relieved or sad when Mayweather retired? I sort of miss seeing him in the ring tearing it up.

    Don't really care.

A new star will soon rise and I'm more excited about the heavyweight division now since there are a lot of big names in the bracket.

Though I will miss Mayweather's spotlight and the attention he brings to the sport when he fights.

He was a good fighter but there's no doubt he ducked a number of key challenges throughout his career so there's real substance when people call him a cherry picker. For example he "retired" when Paul Williams, Winky Wright, Margarito and Cotto were all in their prime. Then of course most recently he ducked Khan at least 3 times in a row, and also ducked Pacquiao repeatedly until Pac was brutally KOd by Marquez.

Other than that, Mayweather was a decent fighter, but not as good as he's made out to be. Some thought he lost to De La Hoya, Maidana, Cotto etc.. But, I will say that his defensive mastery was a sight to behold at times, almost mesmerizing in his prime. Towards the end of his career he was slipping, which is why Cotto bloodied his nose and Maidana arguably beat him, and same reason Khan would have actually beaten him for real.

I'm a but sad for fkoyd that he could never be as good as he wanted to be. Never took the risks and always tried to get things in His favour.
Will be remembered as one of the best of his era, but never took that final hurdle

he moved up to junior middleweight to beat oscar de la hoya, miguel cotto and canelo alvarez.

even though he was a small welterweight that could have cut to 140.

this narrative that he never took risks is completely untrue. he took calculated risks that paid off and because people don't like him, he'll never get the credit he deserves.

NOBODY went undefeated through a more impressive resume of fighters over the last ten years.

JUDAH - coming off loss. Fought him immediately after his loss to Baldomir.
BALDOMIR - 9 defeats, 6 draws at time of Floyd fight.
DE LA HOYA - Oscar way past prime but still a Split decision, many thought Oscar won. One judge scored it for him.
HATTON - Decent win, except that Collazo nearly beat Hatton.
MARQUEZ - Made him jump up from 135 to 147 with no tune up .
MOSLEY - Past-prime & Inactive for 1.5 years before the fight. No tune up..
ORTIZ - Suckerpunch win against poor opponent.
COTTO - Past-prime but Cotto still made it competitive and bloodied Floyds nose.
GUERRERRO - B or even C level opponent. Easy come forward style.
CANELO - Weight-drained to 152 catchweight. Slow, sluggish, 50% Canelo.
MAIDANA - Floyd arguably lost the fight, escaped with Majority Decision. One judge had it a draw.
MAIDANA - Did better 2nd time, but ran for his life in last round.
PACQUIAO - Only fought him after Marquez KOd him out cold for 5 mins.
BERTO - C or even D level opponent.

Floyd mastered "picking the right fight at the right time" but if you look closely at his record you can see that could easily be translated to cherry picking for most of his key victories.
