used to be a big fan of his, right up until post-hatton. as in, right as he KO'd hatton.

after that, slowly I couldn't wait for him to leave.

I understand he has hand issues but that isn't my problem, that's his.

Losing Floyd was worse than losing a member of my own family.

I don't think I will ever get over it to be honest.

then why can't you name another welterweight in the last ten years that went undefeated against that level of competition?

It's good that he retired. All these so called top welters and super welters were too busy ducking each other because they didn't wana miss out on the Mayweather sweepstakes.

Since he retired, these guys have started tearing each other down in order to rise to the top (as they should have been doing all along).

Having said that, it will also be good if he comes back to fight the last man standing, which I think is exactly what he intends to do.

            I don't give a ****...

(That pathetic 'gloves gate' made me lose any interest in him...)

I couldn't vote, because the option I wanted there. I was neither sad, nor relieved. I was happy. I was happy that a supremely talented boxer was able to walk away, with his legacy not only superb, but in tact. I was happy that he was able to walk away from the sport with all his faculties, he doesn't stutter, he isn't punch drunk, he doesn't have scars from cuts, he doesn't have a lip that sags or a cheek that's pronounced, or a 3D eye like Margarito. I was happy that he was smart in his decisions which allowed him to retire, and not damage 20 years of work and achievements and not keep fighting on to eat like so many legends did/do. Look at RJJ as an example of that.

Regardless of what biased haters say, and regardless of whatever subjective hate filled vitriol they spew with whatever hypothetical scenarios they conjure up to try come up with past or present boxers who could actually beat him, at the end of the day, Floyd is the greatest defensive boxer I've ever seen, the greatest boxer I've ever seen in MY opinion, and one of the G.O.A.T, whether you hate him or not. Subjective biases aside, he's one of the greatest to ever don the gloves.

Why is it that all Mayweather polls. It seems the negative votes about him always wins.

Seems to me it only shows his legacy is more of how boxer should not emulate this kind of boxing. The kind of boxer that exploits the loop holes of boxing and takes advantage of it to the fullest.

Pillow gloves, xyclocain, IV gate, USADA, referee, nsac, judges, fights only in Vegas, running and hugging games to name a few..

This guy can't even stand tall even in retirement he is much despised, with all this shameful accusations against him. Boxing fans can see through his shyitty ways.

The guy is going out not to be admired, but dejected to never again see a fraud exploit boxings generosity.

Floyd legacy is what not to do in boxing.

                Good bye Froid. Sayonara.

Relieved. The guy did a lot more harm than good for the sport of boxing.

Where is the option for "who cares, let's talk about active fighters for once"

Mayweather can't lay a fart without making a headline these days. ****s getting old.

Combination of both. Sad because he's a once in a lifetime sort of fighter that I won't see ply his trade anymore, and relieved because it was sad sometimes watching him, knowing full well he was past his best. Also glad because of the saltiness of some posters whose lives were destroyed because they never got to see him lose in his prime. Even if he comes back and loses, it'll be as an old man which doesn't count.
