It's only fair to make the call Floyd I'm sure you could fit them on your undercard somewhere as a kind of freak crossroads fight or something.
Nothing as exciting as seeing two unbeaten guy's in there.
i'm fairly confident that he can beat garcia virtually without getting touched. might as well do it
also, if it's true that PBC is in a bit of trouble, then it'd be cool for him to fight on free TV and give the project a boost
Actually, him having the fight on free tv would hurt Canelo/Khan way more than if he were to challenge them with his own PPV (assuming that they wouldn't move the date), in addition to helping the PBC brand.
Nothing worse for Khan than getting KO'd by a guy Floyd beat easily on the same day Floyd easily beat the last guy that knocked you out.
I'm pretty sure the cable/satellite providers would not allow 2 boxing PPVs on the same night. Now if Floyd wanted to fight on Showtime or Free TV, no doubt that would kill the PPV. But more likely they'd just move it back a few weeks.
But there is no way Floyd would get paid what he wants if he didn't fight on PPV.
"You know, I can easily put a halt on that fight if I chose to call Mr. Garcia, Danny Garcia's dad, if I chose to call him and say, 'You know what, sir, you're a hell of a trainer, you're son's a hell of a fighter, he's an undefeated champion, I'm an undefeated champion, and I think it would be great for me and your son both to make a lot of money. And like I said before, you're very outspoken, my dad is very outspoken; it would be good for me to come back for number 50 and fight the undefeated Danny Garcia, you know, at the MGM Grand.' You know, since Danny Garcia is undefeated and he's very explosive, he's a very good fighter, and he really represents Puerto Rico the same way that Trinidad dad. Even though he's from Philadelphia, he represents the red, white, and blue for Puerto Rico. I'll go over to the MGM Grand and say, 'You know what? We need a venue also,' and we'll see,"
"Because if I'm not mistaken, I fought Canelo, right, and then Danny Garcia fought Amir Khan, and we're both undefeated, so who do you want to see? Do you want to see them or do you want to see us? I'm just saying, I'm just putting it out there, those are the type of things that I can do. I want to say congratulations Danny Garcia. Wear that belt with class and wear that belt with style. You deserve it."
