Basically I need to be paid royaly for loosing

Martin knows he will lose to Joshua so he wants to cash out for life type money. Basically he's telling Joshua people you can win a world title in 2-3 years or get one now. What do you want to do? I'm the weakest heavy weight and you can leverage having the belt later in bigger negotiations plus Joshua having title will make Brits pay more to see him. So give me my 60/40 or probable 70/30 split and let's do it......LOL

Poor Parker? The guy that has done absolutely nothing and been in with even worse opposition than Joshua and brings no money or fanbase?

I'm a Parker fan but this more or less sums up my feelings about the matter. If Parker wants to get on anyone's radar he needs to dump DUCO and start fighting some names outside of NZ. He has the abilities to beat some top ten fighters right now, but he's content to waste his prime away fighting anonymous cans and hasbeens in the name of experience building while calling out guys he hasn't done squat to actually justify fighting.

bit early to dump duco, i just think they got a bit OTT after the sherman williams fight, and fed him bum's out of fear.

I expected the same thing with hearn after round 2 agaisnt dillian, which is why i think this martin fight is nothing but rumours, no WAY hearn risks the martin fight and potentially lose his cash cow, i mean who else does he have? lost eubanks, luke campbell, brook, quigg etc will NEVER bring the numbers joshua does/will do.
and that's 10 more years of PPV, how man millions£ is that? why risk all of that at 16 fights in? no chance.

i will bump this thread when joshua fights malik scott next

For a world heavyweight title fight and a stacked card.....I bet it will be but even if it's £ 17.50...ur maths are way off lol...500k is still £8.5 million plus £3 million gate plus international rights another £1.5 million ...so that's totals £13 million ....and that's the way the cookie crumbles ...joshua got £4 million for his last outing against whyte and rest assure for a world title shot it does more than 400k....your wrong completely and joshua with a world title makes it a really big night next summer with fury or even wilder....so get some knowledge

I like Parker too, my post wasn't ****ing on him really just the people talking him up as if he is ready for the big time or that he is being ducked. He isn't ready for the big guys yet imo and his team don't have deep pockets like Matchroom so they really don't have much going for them atm. But time is on his side so no need to rush.

That path of least resistance for both guys. One gains money on the defense and the other can gain a title

Honestly would prefer Wilder unify with Martin and winner fight Fury-Wlad winner so all the titles can be unified

Funny. Now, not only is Matchroom going to pay out $2m(or more) to Charles Martin, they'll also stack the card with other marketable fights? lol

Now you're assuming that over $2m will be made on the international rights (double what Froch-Groves II got), and 150 British pounds as the price of the average ticket (double what the average price of what was picked up for Froch-Goves II)?

When you're in a hole, the first thing you should do is stop digging:

-Sky Sports is rumored to take 40% off of the PPV, taking Matchroom's take down to 5m British pounds. Add that to your rosy projections and you only get to 10m.

-The cost to rent the O2 Arena is likely about in line with what the cost for Wembley were, or half a million British pounds.
-4m British pounds to Joshua, 1.5m British pounds to Martin, cost of the venue, costs for the undercard fighters, and the costs or delivering the rest of the show, leaves Matchroom deeply in the red.

                    logic is a heckova thing

Which would make the most sense, tbh; Wilder-Povetkin happens on Showtime in June, Wilder-Martin happens on CBS/NBC/FOX come September (Fury gets the chance to deal with the WBA mandatory), and you have the final unification between Fury/Kliscthko and Wilder come December/January 2017
