Really? I said before the fight Canelo wouldn't win around. I was amazed at people thinking that this fight would be remotely competitive.

the weight was not a factor...nor was experience...he was a 7 year pro, unified champion with more fights than Floyd

He weighed 153 vs Trout, his team offered 150 previously and at that point in Canelo's career he routinely weighed 150-153 and was not to far removed from fighting at 147

Nothing he could have done would have changed the result besides him changing his game plan and imposing his size instead of playing chess with the chessmaster....should have been playing chess and roughing Floyd up

I figured floyd would win but I had trouble even giving Canelo a round besides out of pity. thought it would be the typical 8-4 Floyd fight but he really put on a masterclass in this one.

I picked floyd to win but not like that....best performance he had after his hiatus in 08

Yeah, you sure were styling when out of 202 punches landed 139 were jabs. That's some style. ZzZzZz.

Jose Cotto was styling, much more. You just did enough to win. The rounds were swayed by 1 or 2 punches (apparently jabs) in your favor.

But you did win the "boxing match" I'll definitely give you that much.

canelo was ****** trying to outbox a master boxer....he learned his lesson by the time he fought lara and fought more aggressively

Canelo is used to having the handspeed, coordination and accuracy advantage...he should have knew better fighting a smaller, more agile fighter who happened to be an ATG

True. Canelo's only advantage was size and power. Boxing fans get mesmerized by that **** and can't look past that when breaking down fights. Canelo is a flat footed, low volume fighter that likes pick his shots and counter. It was the perfect style match up for Floyd to do whatever he wanted to do in there.

He came in re-hydrated on fight night against Floyd at 165. Against Trout he was 172.

                That's not healthy.

also, he was 153.5 vs Trout (152 vs Floyd). Before that? 154 vs Lopez, 154 vs Mosley, 154 vs Kermit, etc... He wasn't coming in at under 153 except for when he was like, 20-21 years old.

sounds like a bunch of excuses to me...he didnt fight drained....wanna see drained??? go watch Jones vs Tarver...complexion messed up, no muscle definition, pacing himself and feigning to ropes....DLH vs Pac, now thats weight drained.

Canelo was a 23 years old, never weighed over 154 at that point, was dieting and had a long camp.

He was never gonna beat floyd at 150...which was offered....152....or 154...he wasnt good enough

people bringing up weight , but not have they once mentioned his game plan....it was ****** and he didnt impose his size and tried to counter a master boxer....he was weight drained, he just fought the wrong fight...period

you have to train and game plan on a fight by fight basis....did Reynoso and the rest of the team really think that would work with a faster, slicker, quicker(mind and body) fighter

one of the dumbest game plans I saw vs floyd since the Gatti fight.....whats the point of having 15 pounds on a guy and not use it and its your only hope

if you are paid to make floyd look good, you have to make him look good.

or you will see yourself like michael jordans father.
