by 50-50 im sure he meant you share with showtime and they know that is wat he meant...but instead they will continue to negotiate in the media and act clueless..the know its is fine...fans still dont rip them for pulling out of that purse bid..and before that kov wasnt even an hbo fighter but his team begged for a bid and signed the contract in the process putting a road block in the way lol...now they want to act like they want a purse bid bc they have "russian backers"...I HOPE KATHY GETS GANG ****D...her fighter didnt hurt his knee in that fight vs a hymaon fighter for nothing...KARMA PREVAILS OVER BS...thats why haymon doesnt talk i bet..he knows he has the reaper of the truth on his side..lol

Adonis Stevenson has had one fight outside of the Showtime/CBS umbrella since crossing the street, with vs Alvarez and vs Fonfara 2 already being fights lined up for Showtime (both are PPV fights in Canada). try again.

if u are going to make 15 million dollar giving showtime 50% of that doesn hurt hbo bc hbo doesnt pull in 6million for regular kovalev fights..

hbo is playing risk reward games with us fans and negotiation in the media..

stevensons teams is the newcomers they need to make their money not just money for their fighter.

if u went to hbo and said we are going to make 15 million on showtime let us out of our contract for one fight...IT WOULDNT HAPPEN! ..
CONTRACTS ARE JUST AS STRONG AS MUTUAL AGREEMENTS WHEN YOU ARE LOYAL TO WHO IS LOYAL TO YOU...UNLIKE OSCAR WHO HAD A VERBAL WITH SHOWTIME BUT VAMPED ON IT!

HBO NEEDS TO CUT THE LIES AND DEAL WITH SHOWTIME FOR THE BETTERMENT OF BOXING...NO ENTITY DESERVES IT ALL UNTIL THEY HAVE EARNED IT!
wrong. Stevenson's last fight was on Spike and I don't think they felt bad for showtime and offered to give them any money since stevenson appeared on their network in 2014 and hasn't since.

This is a small pay per view. Nothing major. This is Canelo-Lara size so people need to cut the BS. When Canelo fought Lara and Angulo on Sho PPV they didn't cut HBO in even though HBO built up Canelo and also had featured Lara and Angulo. These same fan boys werent crying that HBO was getting the shaft then.

Stevenson should take the $ and fight Kovalev on HBO ppv then go back to PBC or Showtime after. Very simply. That is too bad if its true that someone on his team has a different agenda.

This fight would be badass hear in LA at Staples imo

          we shall see.

But all that is jsut BS talks, stevenson is 39 years old, screaming 50/50 and that is what is being offered to him, sad that he is letting another mans plan (haymon) influcence and stop him for making his money and furthering his career. Used to be a point where stevenson was topdog now no one cares are even regards him as champion lol.

If HBO doesn't want to share the PPV, negotiate the deal to salvage the fight; have HBO carry the live PPv broadcast, but offer Showtime an option to pick up the re-air of the fight if they want (HBO footage of the fight, SHO screen effects, SHO crew calling the fight on tape delay).

HBO keeps the PPV share, Showtime gets the opportunity to show Stevenson's biggest fight to their audience, seguaying right into Stevenson-Fonfara (if Stevenson were to lose) or Stevenson-Alvarez(if Stevenson were to win) on Showtime
              Why?

Stevenson doesn't have a contract with Showtime and nobody involved with the fight has any involvement with or obligation to them at all.

              Except Haymon.

Its pretty safe to say Stevenson will never fight Kovalev. I dunno if he's scared or what, but he has zero excuses.

HAYMON/PBC/SHOWTIME...it is all one..showtime sports execs have continually told us that...showtime paid for thurman vs porter to be on pbc not show time...THAT SHOULD PROVIDE YOU SOME TRUTH!

and i havent seen any fact that showtime and stevenson doesnt have a deal..just a bunch of ppl who feel they dont bc he fought on other pbc channels...haymon could go to showtime and say i want stevenson on pbc...but i will give you broner...im sure that isnt a hard thing to workout even if there is a contract...we cannot punish haymon fighters for having a broader horizon and signing up with ppl who can do more for them than just a set hbo date...THAT IS BS...THEY NEED TO WORK TOGETHER

SHOWTIME COULD HAVE OPTIONS PER OPPONENT! THINK BEFORE YOU JUST SHOOT BS THAT THE OTHER SIDE SAYS..they can get away with lies or half way stories bc haymon doesnt care to refute them he just goes about his business and puts on fights like thruman vs porter while hbo cant make kovalev/ward..gggcanelo yet

It doesn't matter what the split was, the deal died when HBO insisted that Showtime NOT be involved.

Team Kovalev must have known that the fight was on thin ice when they heard those terms from HBO.

Anybody who thinks that it's legit/fair that shotime should be cut out of the picture is not very smart. In fact, it is plainly obvious that no deal could be made under those circumstances.

Suggesting a deal, that you know will be rejected..... is ABSOLUTELY pricing yourself out.

Not convinced at all about the legitimacy of that " offer ".

Neither HBO nor Main Events seem to be interested in that fight.

It appears to me, that HBO are worried about Stevenson upsetting Kovalev.

So because Stevenson is a Showtime fighter, and Showtime/Haymon are willing to work out a deal with HBO to make the fight, and HBO doesn't want to do that, they want full rights, then that means Stevenson is a chicken? Look i'm not even a fan of the guy, Kovalev destroys this guy, seriously. But Duva and HBO are clearly playing games here. They've been playing games and doing slick stuff since last year. I won't blame Kovalev or Stevenson because they're the fighters, not the one's doing business. But it definitely seems as if HBO/Duva don't want to cooperate with Sho to get the fight done.

Absolutely, it is quite absurd if you stop and think about it.
