    Maybe he feels that because it is for a 160 belt that the fight should take place at 160.

    either way fighting for a championship of 160 should take place at 160 otherwise weight divisions truly mean nothing.
    I agree with this, but what are his alternatives? Maybe he should just take his vacant belt in May and go his own way.

      unlike Rosado, unlike Monroe Lara want's premium dollar. apples to apples my friend... got to learn how to see the situation for what it is.
      lmao he wants premium dollar? WTF? Was he throwing out some crazy offer like Saunders that i'm not aware of? I'm sure he's not willing to pay his own training camp like Monroe but why the fck should he? HBO has money

        This is big news. Wade is a Haymon fighter. Now we find out if K2/HBO and Haymon can work together. Haymon could spend huge, win the purse bid and we'll see if HBO would allow GGG to fight on Showtime.

        Very interesting...

        Edit;
        Wade/Golovkin is a farce. Wade should've lost to Soliman and has been inactive ever since (over 7 months ago...). And what the hell happens to Tureano? Does he keep his BS mandatory that Golovkin has to defend later? This is screwed up by the IBF.

            Is there any news about WBA's Wednesday deadline regarding Jacobs?

            Edit: I thought today was Wednesday.

                Oh I don't know. Maybe because he says he wants the fight. If he is serious, prove it. *****es say **** on tv and Twitter all the time. By your logic, GGG should sit on his ass and wait for Canelo to come knocking instead of chasing that fight. Idiots.

                  hey i agree but HBO is only willing to pay so much, if HBO is only willing to shell 2-3 million for a fight which seems to be a pattern with GGG fights... and Lara wants 1+ million this means he might even end up taking the lion's share of the purse... what champion in their right mind can make an offer to a contender from a lower division who isn't even the top dog of that division (but one of a few top dogs) and split the purse 50/50 or worse.

                  people ***** about Monroe that he isn't well known but he took 100k, while GGG took 2 million (thats a 2.1 million purse). how can GGG vs. Lara be done if right now LARA makes 0 noise and wants at least 1 million (means GGG would take almost a 1 million pay cut if purse stays the same).

                    The boxing community demands that the champion (GGG) chase his contenders... that sounds ridiculous to me... can you imagine Floyd chasing down fighters... isn't it the other way around usually, where the contenders chase the champions. Lara isn't even a contender at 160 and fans are getting so desperate that they want GGG to start chasing any one who utters his name and has a somewhat recognizable name. If you truly believe that Lara wanted to fight GGG put pressure on him to start calling GGG right now.
                    GGG needed an opponent last year and he picked Willie Monroe because according to Abel Sanchez "He was the bigger name".

                    Cut the BS. HBO needs to maintain his aura of invincibility to keep the ratings up and nobody looks good against Lara. GGG is not ducking him but if they don't need to make the fight they won't.

                      Team Lara don't want the fight. They're using GGG name to build hype. You do notice the only time Lara is talked about its in a GGG thread. If team Lara wanted the fight they'd be asking for it right now.
