dont see this as a competative fight more likely a missmatch. Barrera has very limited skills but for a 1 tune up fight is it a good choice from Ward.i hope Ward chooses next time a top lhw for a fight

Testing the waters I see.....this will be the first indication for ward in facing a LHW and it should be quite interesting......ward knows he's got to step up his game if he has any chance of beating kovalev....kovalev is only 11 months away now ..
        .WAR KOVALEV

Wow! Ward is finally fighting a solid opponent in his career!! Now we will see how good Ward really is. Barrera is easily Wards best opponent yet! Stop waisting time fighting bums like froch and kessler, time to step your game up and he finally did it! But im sure ward stops him in round 1 with his powerfull punches! Ward is such an impressive powerfull fighter!
Ward im so proud of you.....

Damn, very very dangerous fight here. This could be one of those fights where it's a lose-lose situation for Ward. If he wins, I think it'll be ugly, and critics won't like it. It would probably drop his stock. Barrera is a dangerous guy and hoping Ward takes him very serious. If he ends up fighting Barrera and Kovalev in 2016, that is by far the most dangerous 2016 for any fighter in boxing. If he wins clearly, they'll say, well he finally fought someone and it wasn't even a top 10 LHW. Regardless, Ward needs to take this guy as serious as Kessler and Froch. He's big, has power, he's taller with longer arms. Ward needs to win this and win this.

I don't get it, why do people use alphabet rankings?

I don't know why you guys follow alphabet rankings, for all they care they will put a no hoper journeyman ranked top 5 somehow, like Giovanni Segura ranked 6. In what legit list will Segura be a top 10 fighter? Or Edgar Sosa at #5? In a non legit list at all. At least you are consistent though, using these lists.

Ring, TBRB, Boxingscene, ESPN, don't have Barrera in their top 10 rankings and that's what I go by. He's tough but he is not recognized as top 10 by the top ranking sources. It makes no sense but it makes you guys happy using these lists as legit rankings, these WBC, IBF, WBA, WBO, that sometimes are like 90% journeymen.
