LOL! I realized the takam fight was last October so it's Fury. I don't watch any other division so I had to throw another guy in the mix... Yeah it isn't in the same orbit...I'll see myself to the cliff

I think James Degale or Tyson Fury

      Dirrell in USA
      Bute in Canada

      Hammer in London
      Wlad in Germany

Fury hands down. Was underdog, wasn't supposed to win & imo won impressively vs a guy who went undefeated in 10 years.

I'll go with Fury or Mayweather.
Stop being such a hater, Mayweather performance against Manny was pathetic. And I like Fury but his wasn't much better. Fighter of the Year has to be dominate against their comp and not just survive 12 rounds. Fury landed like 80 punches are you going to call that Fighter of the Year lol.

Good wins but you need to show your class and neither man did.

I can't think of one fighter of the year that fought a non top 10 fighter and fought as scared as Mayweather against Manny, gtfoh.

Maybe you check your own rationalization if you think that **** deserves FOTY. Boxing has reall come to a sad point when guys like you are hardcore fans lmao.

Fury ended a decade-long heavyweight reign and is now a historical boxing figure, but his other win was a warmup against Christian Hammer.

Mayweather broke PPV records and ended years of speculation by beating Pacquaio, but his other fight was what most would call a waste of time.

GGG packed 3 decent (monroe jr) good (murray) and very good (lemiuex) opponents into one year and utterly dominated them. On some mathematical algorithm level he is up there but there was no flagship win.

Somewhere in the middle (2 good wins apiece) are Canelo and Badou, but Badou edges that one out because Canelo's opponents were both past it/underdogs.
GGG? Are you having a laugh?

I said if Fury pulls off the upset and becomes THE heavyweight champion, then he has to be FOTY. Nothing in boxing, no p4p nonsense, no welterweight, middleweight, no featherweight compares to beings THE guy in the premier division.

The performance was not a classic but it doesn't matter. Fury has given us one of the biggest upsets in years and done it for a true championship and not some worthless trinket.

Anthony Dirrell is a good solid fighter, but he is far from being anything great. Good win.

I would call Jacks year a good year, a breakout year of sorts, but I would not consider him fighter of the year. I will say this, considering the loss he suffered last year, I personally think he had a great bounce back year. He impressed me.
I think in the poll from a few weeks ago jack was leading
