How exactly is it a toss up?-

It's not even in the same stratosphere.

      Idiotic choice and rationalizations.

I'll go with Fury or Mayweather.

Groves was showing bad signs in fights after the Froch losses. He kinda looked like a shaken fighter. Decent win

Anthony Dirrell is a good solid fighter, but he is far from being anything great. Good win.

I would call Jacks year a good year, a breakout year of sorts, but I would not consider him fighter of the year. I will say this, considering the loss he suffered last year, I personally think he had a great bounce back year. He impressed me.

Pretty much how I see it.

I think the Manny win was better, but I fully expected it to go down that way. Can't say I saw the Fury one coming at all.

            Either Jack or DeGale.

F outta here with Berto, 1-win Fury, & shot-Cotto as the "Top 3"

Everyone has their own rules for what makes you FOTY

Fury ended a decade-long heavyweight reign and is now a historical boxing figure, but his other win was a warmup against Christian Hammer.

Mayweather broke PPV records and ended years of speculation by beating Pacquaio, but his other fight was what most would call a waste of time.

GGG packed 3 decent (monroe jr) good (murray) and very good (lemiuex) opponents into one year and utterly dominated them. On some mathematical algorithm level he is up there but there was no flagship win.

Somewhere in the middle (2 good wins apiece) are Canelo and Badou, but Badou edges that one out because Canelo's opponents were both past it/underdogs.

Nobody has been more exciting and dominating than GGG.

He also destroyed a fighter an elite fighter in Lemieux. In fact Lemieux might have been p4p if GGG wasn't around. Thats how good GGG is.

                  Mayweather.

Some other good options, but ultimately he beat the best opponent in the biggest fight of all time.

Tyson Fury and it's not even close.
