How about Mayweather, Pacquiao, GGG and Ward. But then you left out Wlad and Vitali and Kovalev. You also left out Crawford, Cotto, Canelo, Gonzalez, Rigo and Loma. There are too many good fighters to crown 4 of them as kings just as it was silly to crown Hearns, Duran, Leonard and Hagler as kings back then. Great fighters, yes. Kings, no, not to me anyway.
Crawford, GGG, Ward, Kovalev, Canelo, Gonzalez, Loma and Rigo are all part of the next gen - their stories are still being written.

Hop, Wlad, Cotto, Pac, May - for the most part; those stories are closed. Cotto and Wlad have a chance to add a little special addition to those stories, but if they called it quits at this very moment, the book would be finished.

I don't understand folks in this thread blending in stars with their feet out of the sport and potential stars still in the middle of their books. Seems illogical

          1. manny pacquiao - legend, 3x fighter of the year, fighter of the decade 2000-2009, first and only 8 weight world champion, first 4 weight lineal champ, the most exciting fighter of this era

          2. wladimir klitschko - incredible heavyweight champion reign, top 3 best heavyweight of all time, one of the most dominant heavyweights of all time

          3. floyd mayweather - undefeated, 4 weight lineal champ, fought guys at the tail end of their careers, coward, degenerate

          4. miguel cotto - first 4 weight puerto rican champion, puerto rican legend hero, fought everyone, good family man

            Floyd
            Manny
            Klit
            Rigondeux

No way is Cotto or GGG near that list.
Ward needs to put in a lot of work but can be done
I out rigo because I don't see him losing

I'm surprised you got it right, my simple-minded friend.
The simple fact is that Cotto is no world beater. Cotto lost to mayweather and pacquiao.

Hopkins achieved great things. Beat the best. Hopkins was left off the list of the thread till I mentioned him.

There are not 4 kings in this era. We shouldn't try to force everything into neat packages. It was special to have 4 1st ballot hof'ers close in weight to fight each other. It was also special that Duran could upset SRL.

In this era there is Floyd, then JMM and Manny, and then cotto but cotto and JMM haven't fought each other. Bhop is above cotto and JMM imo but is too heavy to compare to the 4 kings era.

If you must have 4 that fought each other it would be Floyd, Manny,Shane and coka dela fishnets.

what exactly is cotto the king of?

                  he lost his big fights

he's popular because of nationality mostly

you would mention guys like wlad and hopkins long before him but... most of the people on here only know welterweight exists and made an account after seeing the manny pacquaio line at footlocker

                    Mayweather

Who's the fourth? Canelo/GGG??? Ward??? Probably a little too early to say. Let's discuss.
Wlad, Floyd, JMM and Pac. The era is almost over. It' simon it's death throws anyway.

                      1. Morales
                      2. Barrera
                      3. Pacquiao
                      4. Marquez
When did Morales and Marquez fight?
