If it doesn't happen that's different and Ward will deserve criticism, but can we at least wait and see what happens.

If he does take the fight people will find another reason to hate on this dude.

Like I said I like both Ward & Kovalev so I have no bias toward either one.
What annoys me, is the GGG wankers whining about Ward taking 2 tuneups after a long layoff..... and yet Golovkin has carved a career out of tuneups.

Ward is proven, so why do those wankers care who he fights BEFORE Kovalev..... at least he has a big fight on the horizon, GGG doesn't.

Or, GGG will fight Ward and jubei will lose both his hype-jobs in one year

        Fixed.....

What a ridiculous thing to say in a thread entitled.....

          Nah he doesn't, rubbish.

          Ward proved himself years ago.

He could fight Russell Brand and a hypejob from 160, then Kovalev, no problem.

they aqre not telling kov to move up or nothing...or no one else..i think we get the fight, but they are making him a villian..but that wont help this fight sell..kov's style alone tells you he is the villian..his monkey tweets...i hope u get it now from the first paragraph..we cant let hbo do ppl any sorta way and then pick on the person when they react
I don't think Ward had any contract with HBO. He was basically a free agent. Though a limited one considering RocN won't put him on PBC. Ward made his own bed here. If he felt pressure, it's of his own doing. As for the Kovalev fight, why shouldn't HBO ask Ward to fight a guy in his own division?

I'd be happy with this because I don't have to front the money for the fight. Ward proved himself years ago. Four years ago. He is respected by hardcore fans but forgotten by casual fans. So, he doesn't bring the fans, and therefore the $$$, into a Golovkin fight to make it happen unless RocN is putting it up and willing to take a loss. HBO certainly isn't going to be paying Ward $2mil to fight a tune up like Brand. GGG is the big prize, but because Ward hasn't put in the work, the fight's not ready to be made. If Ward really wanted the fight, he should've stuck at SMW and fought a couple of the top guys there. The fact they're not easy fights to make isn't GGG's problem or his fault.

Ultimately, RocN (and HBO) want to to maximize their investment and make money. Kovalev needs a dance partner and he's in Ward's weight class. Both guys need to build their brands. If Ward beats Kovalev and Golovkin's still undefeated, that'd be the best money fight you could make.

                That is bull****.

Who protects Golovkin while you sleep ?

                Enjoy the Golovkin/Monroe II PPV

Ward is in no rush to meet the deep sleep. Hopefully RN finds someone with a pulse for him so he can acclimate to the weight.

Hunter is correct, the public were denied a Ward/Golovkin fight.

There is actually no reason to discuss Hypekin in this thread.

This thread is about two elite guys who are willing to fight each other.
