OMG I get tired o all the constant HATE on this website. I like both fighters, I have no agenda for this fight on either side and as log as it happens next year. I could care less if Ward takes another tune up.
If it doesn't happen that's different and Ward will deserve criticism, but can we at least wait and see what happens.
If he does take the fight people will find another reason to hate on this dude.
Like I said I like both Ward & Kovalev so I have no bias toward either one.

Ward is playing games and playing hbo and roc nation.
He has no intention of fighting kovalev straight up
1. He wants kovalev to outgrow the division
2.he wants kovalev to get softened up
3. He wants kovalev to age
He is getting 2 million for headliners on hbo.
He will not fight kovalev next fall and will price himself out along with have issues of venue and
the date. He will pro long this into 2017 and play more games trying to get it into 2018 .
Ward doesnt fool me. He is gonna play the
floyd /pac ducking game of waiting pac out and trying to get a drained or shot kovalev in there.
Ward will be on showtime soon and he will then say its a network battle. Deja vu coming your way.
Imo the black urban fighters pull this. They dont wanna be in 50 50 fights. Its a pattern

Also, we have only vague references to a contract condition that requires a "commitment" to this match up. Such an event without a signed contract announced a year out is essentially vaporware.
Bottom line though: Ward needs to return to the ring ASAP, hopefully against an established LHW.

Translation: We have to correct our mistakes of how we lied about wanting the Golovkin fight. We never did. Ward had a tough time making decisions. Truth was, he can't make 168 anymore. But if he moves up, danger lies ahead in a potential Kovalev clash. We didn't know what to do. But we have to stand by our decision now. It's too embarrassing to look like we're afraid of this fight.

That means 2 tuneup fights against shot super middle weights and then another injury, a couple delays and when Kovalev is getting tired of waiting for Ward he will fight somebody else. Then Ward can claim that Kovalev avoided him and retire for good and his 14 fans can rest in piece.

i hear that the fight game interview with ward was basically thrashing him before he even spoke...those type of things can make him change his tone and make him carry the conversation differently...im just waiting it out..the man has fought some of the best so he'll have to prove he is scared before i convict him

I'm all in for a Kov/Ward matchup, and til then I'll give Ward the benefit of the doubt. He just HAS to prove himself between now and Kov.

they aqre not telling kov to move up or nothing...or no one else..i think we get the fight, but they are making him a villian..but that wont help this fight sell..kov's style alone tells you he is the villian..his monkey tweets...i hope u get it now from the first paragraph..we cant let hbo do ppl any sorta way and then pick on the person when they react
