How did that work out when she fought a female boxer?
Seriously, you have no idea what you're talking about. She got knocked out by another woman, she has no chance against a male professional boxer. Give it a rest.
Yes because somehow a male boxer has the same training or expertise at both the use of kicks and punches...that makes plenty of sense buddy. I love when folks leech onto a different set of circumstances to say "SEE". Listen she got beaten bad but she got beaten bad by someone trained to do so..it all comes back to being trained for that. No boxer is trained for that, same reason they can't make the transition to MMA or vice versa.
This fight proved that RR cannot take the a 135 pound woman's jab. Ronda has a very low tolerance for a punch. The men she'd be fighting have virtually mastered the art of controlling their opponent and would need a next to no training on how to render her incapable of fighting. Ronda's rank amateurish boxing was clearly evident any time she "boxed." Any skilled boxer knew her limitations instantly. How Holly Holm and her team refrained from boldly declaring what she'd do to Ronda, I don't know, but I am certain that those with whom Holly trained and those that were privy to her training had to know what Holly had in store for Ronda. I imagine that they are laughing themselves silly thinking about meanie face Ronda and her loudmouth threats. How was it Ronda was described? Toughest woman on Earth. Yup. I think that was it. And I also wonder about Ronda's boxer friends. They had to know just how poor a boxer Ronda was. Was "the myth of Ronda's invulnerability" so ingrained that nobody - even those boxer friends who clearly saw her lack of skill, would speak to her or advise her that she was asking for trouble if she thought that she could box with Holly Holm?
Again she lost to someone TRAINED for this, boxers are not trained for this..if they were you'd see a whole lot of "my career" is in the skids boxers making the switch. Nobody is discrediting Holly because she is actually trained at this. She took the space Ronda needed to execute away from her and Ronda couldn't go low on her either. There is a difference between being able to box and being able to box and legitimately protecting your lower body from any number of moves that can wipe you out but fair enough she lost and folks will gloat as if she lost to a tomato can.

No one is saying that Floyd would go in MMA and beat their male champion. What the debate and disrespect was about was that people were saying she can beat floyd in 15 seconds and oscar said 16-17 seconds. No way in hell that happens in a fight. She cannot handle one of his punches. Holly is nowhere near the boxer or athlete floyd is, he's a world class champion been fighting for 19 years, is bigger stronger faster than Ronda. He would literally eat her punches and laugh it off. Come now stop letting your hatred cloud your judgment. Holly picked her apart using footwork, distance and counter punching. What do you think floyd would do. Its sad that society would entertain this. Now if its floyd versus a male mma champion in the octagon of course my money is on the mma champion.

You should take your L and move on. You're embarrassing yourself even more now which I didn't think was possible. "Holm is trained for this" Male professional boxers can't move and punch the same way? Is that what you're going with now? Pathetic.

3:36 mark of the first round every male boxer in that position would not have done what Holm did to prevent his legs from being taken out from under him...but then again people who don't get the difference between the use of hands versus the use of legs wouldn't get that. Pathetic is you attempt to say that a boxer somehow is trained in getting out of submission holds or much less trained at it in any way shape or form.

Nobody said Rousey was going to go in there to box Floyd, or any man for that matter. The point was "submission" which is much more than just hands. Holm is an exceptional technician and her record reflects that, any other mma fighter at the 3 1/2 minute mark of the first would've been submitted shortly thereafter, she turned her body and used her weight to prevent being locked into...that comes from many years of experience and training and memory. That is not something acquired and the last thing an mma fighter is going to worry about is a boxer knowing how to actually prevent that.

She beat her with boxing. She threw very few kicks, until Rousey was already almost done. She did evade a couple upper-body throws, but that is just one little aspect of grappling that could easily be taught. She used boxing both to dominate the standup and to keep Rousey at a distance. Judo is actually very limited. They can only take you down if they can get you in a hugging clinch.
