Because an arrogant black guy is always public enemy number one in sports. Just look at the whole Richard Sherman debacle. People didn't even know who the guy was but he received a firestorm of hate because of one inappropriate out burst.
Floyd does not articulate himself well but he has a legitimate point. There have been movies and books based on the concept of the "Great White Hype" for years. People act like it is a new phenomenon.

Damn for such a defensive genius as Floyd it sure seems like he has suffered a great deal of brain damage in his career.

Race played a part in his ticket sells, race has been a part of boxing since the beginning and it will remain til this planet earth is gone
I can't help but notice you had to leave a long list of fighters out of your post, let's start you off with Mike Tyson, a legend across the globe, regardless of ethnicity. You fail to realise that some people have mass appeal, some simply don't.
Or I could point out the simple fact common to every walk of life, which all of us have experience of- bragging is not a particularly endearing quality, regardless of anything, just on a human to human level, braggers are often considered repetitive, vacuous and not fun to be around as they are essentially tiresome and grating company. So, you really shouldn't be surprised that being a braggart doesn't carry mass appeal, it's not a race issue, it's a human issue. Braggarts come from all walks of life and they are met with the same reaction from all walks of life.
Besides, you suggest that buying a ticket to a boxing match is somehow dependent on skin colour, which seems a little odd.
