Come on man. He was offered 164, he was disinclined to acquiesce, although he said he would be willing to drop all the way to 160 to fight Mayweather. It's Ward that wanted nothing to do with GGG.

Ward Haters vehemently wanna see him lose , so they need him to fight a tough prospect EVERY TIME so that there's at least a chance for an upset . According to one of the guys commentating the Ward-Smith fight, Ward told him it would be a struggle to make 168 but he still wants to fight there. My guess is he's afraid of people his own size.

Ward is 100% right. There are double standards, certain fighters are given a pass and allowed to face weak opposition without criticism. While others fight the best and it's still not good enough to please the critics.

That's why he should just concentrate on making the most money that he can. Don't worry about pleasing people that are never going to like you anyway.
